So, despite his assumed ability and high wages, we'd want someone who'd happily put in some tackles we'd be out of our seats at and screaming for the ref to red card him. We'd be happy for his off-field activities and opinions to be splashed across the papers and internet. We'd be happy for him to act like a petulant kid, so much so that Warnock had snags controlling him?

For what in exchange?

There must be better players available.

We need to sign a player in the middle of the park this summer desperately. An old head with a lot of experience who can play in the middle of park, and be a genuine leader.

A player who can be a total nasty bastard when required, who can bully not only the opposition but is not afraid to have a go at a team mate when they aren't pulling their weight.

An experienced player who can develop his own team mates in the way that Stuart McCall developed Michael Tonge and Michael Brown in the 02/03 season.

A player who has spent the majority of his career in the top flight, and has never been frightened of putting his body on the line, or head above the parapet.

A player who is currently playing at Championship level, but is on a one year deal and also has aspirations to have a coaching/managerial career.

If not Semedo, he's the kind of player I'd like to see. Big, strong, aggressive, and we could feel comfortable putting some more capable attacking players around him.
