This is going to be one hell of a culture shock for them. The language, the weather, the lifestyle, living away, the style, the food, the fans...
I honestly hope it works out, but Wilder has always said he doesn't have time for people to take 10 games plus to bed in. People laugh that he wants Brits, they moan at the reasoning, but it makes complete sense to me.
If this comes off though, maybe it'll change Wilder's views long term.
I was thinking that about coming from Peru. But I bet Nigerian to Bulgaria is a bigger change than Bulgaria to England. This opinion is based on absolutely no knowledge or insight, but the fact that he has already moved continents once might make it less of a wrench.

Wait until the next ‘Behind the Blades’ when they’re stood at the back and not paying attention, there’ll be uproar

They're wingers aren't they ?

Despite being fully fluent in English ,
They'll probably have difficulty with :

Tight games.
Fine margins.
Pass it sideways around the back.
Play on your weaker foot and
Do NOT try to beat the FB on the outside and put a dangerous cross in.
It's called an "inverted winger" ,
Basically , don't use your pace , just turn inside and get swallowed by the opposition defence.

It's boring and produces few chances but it's the modern diktat.

Your posts are boring to read!

It makes complete sense as long as you don’t have aspirations to establish yourself as a fixture in the PL. When was the last time a team full of Brits did that?
But it works getting you out of league 2, 1 and the Championship.

Ok.
I'll tell the person I know who works there to stop telling lies
Didn’t someone post a video on here of him speaking English? I can’t recall on which thread, but remember seeing one.

To be diplomatic, and sit on the fence, maybe he can speak English in the right environment, but not enough to have a full blown discussion. Especially if it’s with someone with a strong accent.

Burnley.

Six seasons in the Premier League from 2016-17 to 2021-22 with a largely British squad.

The Nigerian one spoke English on his video.

The Peruvian apparently doesn't know a word of the Queens. Do we have any Spanish speakers in our dressing room?
Nearest we have is Vini and Gus i'd say who speak Portuguese. They not the easiest to understand eachother though.
It's not like Polish/Slovaks/Czechs etc. who can tend to speak in their own language and be understood by the other

I work with distributors across Europe and when we hold annual sales meetings, many who can speak English struggle to follow presentations, but are fine one-to-one etc.

I think Vini can from his time with Espanyol. I’m guessing it’s not a huge stretch to go from Portuguese to Spanish, but that might be me being naive.

I wonder if BBD bothered learning any growing up? I doubt it as he doesn’t seem the brightest, bless him.

They're both staying in the hotel at Bramall Lane. Staff at the hotel are having to communicate with them via Google translate...

True story.
Doesn't the club have a player liaison officer (or whatever the title is) whose job it is to look after new players (part of which, presumably, is to organise translators)?

Seems like we do have Foreign players already then, maybe Anel can also help out with the language situation.

English is the official first language of Nigeria, although not everyone (especially poorer or rural areas).

The end of The Brexit Blades that, fitness permitting, have 3 foreigners starting every week?

Guessing gus speaks more Dutch than any Portuguese, given he was adopted by Dutch parents at the age of 2 and took him straight back to Holland.

The kid from Peru might not even speak Spanish (consider it his first language I mean, not literally not be able speak Spanish), it depends on his upbringing. In South America Spanish is regarded as the language of the Colonials. If he comes from indigenous descent he will more that likely speak his own language, but obviously be able to converse in Spanish if needed.

Someone`s vanity project ,not Wilders . Are we the first to use AI to find a player ?, will we be trend setting again , in Sheffield ? I suppose if it is a success it will be Manchesters idea .

I think Wilder will have to give these two at least a chance. Otherwise it won't reflect well on him in the eyes of the new owners. Someone at the club thought signing these two was a good idea and I assume that someone is higher up the hierarchy than Wilder?

I would expect Wilder doesn’t particularly oversee every signing to the development squad or academy, so this wouldn’t be much different. If they catch the eye then they will get noticed, otherwise we won’t hear of them again like many players.
