¡No Pasarán!
Change the record old boy. Your personal attacks on a fellow board member do you no credit. Have the boil lanced, stop the sore festering, you will feel so much better.
But tell me you're not interested in the back story.

I'm actually a big fan of Pinchy, but I think he's the king of the attack on fellow board members. I doubt he lost any sleep last night.Change the record old boy. Referring to Morgans footballing abilities ,I would love a centre half like him now. I hate ball playing skilful centre halves ,I want a big fucker who will kick the opposition and clear the ball out of our half. Let the rest of the team play the football and the centre backs protect our goal. Might be old fashioned but that's a great centre half for me. Dave Watson(Sunderland, Man City one) is the best centre back Ive ever seen ,unplayable at both ends of the field and hard as fuck ,no striker liked playing against him.
If he was not an ex blade he would not get a mention, he has done nothing at any of his recent clubs and has been unable to command a regular start.
When at bdtbl before he was constantly offside as he had to play right on the shoulder of the last defender due to being so dammed slow. His pace has not improved and although he had the knowledge of previously being in the right place at the right time other teams have not recently benefitted from this "attribute" as he has not been deemed good enough to play on a consistent basis.
Please we can do so much better than a player who has failed us twice.

Probably the most sensible and accurate comment I've seen on here for ages.Based on what?
I don't get the anti Morgan stuff. What does anyone know about his coaching abilities? I know next to nothing, and I suspect so does everyone else.
I've come to accept that Pinchy will automatically reject anything from the past, because he's wedded to the line that "pure" football is the only way to deliver success. 5 years of being continually proved wrong hasn't altered that - so it's not going to change.
But where do others who don't rate him draw this opinion from?

The only people that really know are those that work with him, and I've heard no rumblings of discontent on that front
Funny how desperate these managers are to manage The Blades that they will all take on a dud like Morgan?

To sign Billy when we have players/ prospects waiting in the wings who could do the same job would be criminal, the six goals we scored in our last game showed we have the players up front given the right attitude to do the job, letting six in at the back showed where any money should be spent..
Id much prefer giving Done, Addams, and even Diego a run than spend money on Billy because he's not the kind of forward we're short of, IMO .
And he is a dud because of erm, exactly what? Surely not his managerial performance as caretaker over two spells with a grand total of 10 games?
Do enlighten us all.
I'm not convinced Grumpy. I think you were living up to your name. Oh go on then I'll give you that one, I read it wrong.....maybe.....It was a tongue in cheek quote supporting Morgs.![]()
Have you heard a single expression of approval? No, I haven't either. What a deafening silence! How many times has any smaller club shown the slightest interest in giving him a start in management? Well, in round figures...
He got his job to save money, not on merit. He's now here because he's here because he's here... - a modern day Cec Coldwell and about as much use.
We now know his footballing philosophy of course (we'd never have, guessed!). It's "Nowt fancy - like Bassett". Great stuff Chris; Can't wait.
Cresswell got a similar deal to Muckanettles Morgs, by the way.
Bringimback!

you mean when he played on the wing to accomodate Beattie? i do remember him scoring four goals against QPR and being moved back to the wing once BT was fit next matchIndeed, when Beattie and Sharp were in the same side in their first and second spells respectively, Beattie made Sharp look worse than ordinary.

If bringing in Sharp means losing Done, I am not sure it's worth the risk. It's a risk because we don't know what Billy we will be getting. I think McNulty is similar with more upside
I would rather we concentrate on spending extra on quality in places we need it, such as centre back and a holding midfielder. I would supplement the rest with loans personally.
note - I would love Billy to come back and succeed, however not willing to see the farm for it.
Forget the bladey blade bollocks.
There would be a number of championship clubs that would covet the signature of Sharp.
His signing would be a major coup for ANY L1 team.
But not in deepest darkest S2 !!! We (The Royal We) know better !!!!!!!!
I fuckin despair.

All good points. However to counter, in a game famous for lack of loyalty, a hiring and firing club has been happy to keep extending his employment.I've got nothing personal against the bloke, but I do think the evidence suggests that Morgan is not that great a coach:
1. United have a history of promoting to manager internally when they are on their financial uppers and the prospective manager shows a modicum of talent (cf McEwan, Spackman). Morgan has now had three chances to get a job on those terms and he hasn't
2. The performances in his two spell as caretaker were hardly distinguished.
3. As Pinchy says, there is no suggestion that any conference or 4th division team has been interested in taking him on as their manager.
I'l raise you Kevin PressmanBilly Sharp would be a great signing all round for the blades . He aint past it yet and has still a lot to offer. If we dont sign him someone else will . Simple as that.
The thread - Fat Lad From Sheffield , always gets me thinking of David Hirst or Mel Sterland .

Based on what? He record of one goal in six for us in the past?
His five goals in 33 league appearances for Leeds?
Christ, sign him up immediately.
