ok get the point we are 19th but logic still applies we finish 5 places higher be 14th , oh shit calamity
No, 14th would constitute an excellent achievement, however, you can't on the one hand extrapolate your chosen results to prove your point, then on the other when it goes awry start pointing to form tables and harping on about "no divine right to win games" or somesuch.
I extrapulate the results under clough , think thats quite logical

adding the catastrophe that occured under Weir feeds the negative amongst us , but thankfully that era has passed

We have no reason to be positive?

'Feelings' are that we now have a better manager, we have better players coming in than we have going out, we have great optimism for the summer when the proper business can be done, we have a manager who wants to get at least a dozen players out of the club (and can't do it all straight away) and so on.

Facts are (last 11 games);

W, D, D, W, W, D, D, W, L, W, L

I'd say that's not bad for a third division club that's changed managers at will for the past few years that has, in the main, a bunch of overpaid and 'over contracted' players that no one else will take off of our hands. Trust the people in charge and see where we are / judge this time next year.

UTB.

Your stats confirm we have won just won 1 of the last 5 league games - 3 of which were against teams in the bottom 5.

Unfortunately that sequence includes the cup wins which as much use as chocolate teapot in a relegation struggle.

Correct, and that's about as good as we are, but the current trend SHOULD be enough to keep us out of the relegation places, which is all we can hope for with a manager coming in who needs to rebuild an entire squad?

That, along with Clough getting increasingly frustrated with the garbage that he has at his disposal, gives me enough to be positive and not get too frustrated at losing away from home to a team who are having their best run of the season.

Might be time to line up our excuse for not beating Bradford on Saturday.

Taking results from when Clough took charge of his first game v Crewe, we'd be 12th. Not great, but grounds for at least *some* optimism that we can pull clear of the bottom four:

Had us down to lose at Notts County. Should win on Saturday though don't you think?

And interesting factual stuff from Coily? Not bad for the shower of shite he's inherited I'd say, but that's me, and I'm looking for the positives.

Wier left the club in a really awful fix. There were so many new players, a system that was not working, demoralised older players and pissed off fans.

To Clough's credit he has settled on a squad of 14 or 15 regular players, reinstated 442 and is now able to see I believe where the problems still are. In my view the result is a lightweight team with reasonable technical skills for the division, capable on occasions of playing well and until recently shutting up shop. But not one that is sure of safety.

By contrast the last time we went down we never got to this point. Neither Adams nor the others steadied the ship.
We are not superstars one week and a bag of shite the next, we are overall at best average. It is disappointing but I think Clough knows what he is doing - let's see.
