I thought it was something linked to all the Irish settlers in those parts? Catholics in Liverpool, protestants went further in-land to Manchester. Dunno...

Anyway, speaking of derbies, there is one everyone forgot...

Sheffield United Reserves v. Sheffield Wednesday Reserves... which just happens to be tonight at Worksop.

The Steel City heads to Worksop on Wednesday night as the Blades face the Owls in the Pontins League.

The reserve fixture - a top of the table clash in the Eastern Section of the Pontins League - will be played at Worksop Town's Sandy Lane ground (7pm kick-off).

Due to international calls ups, players out on loan, injuries and the prestigious friendly in Hungary on Tuesday, the Blades name predominantly an under 18s team for the fixture against Wednesday.

However, the Blades squad does include youth internationals Lee Askham (England), Aymen Tahar (Algeria) and Zeyn S-Latef (Poland).
