Like most who post on here regularly I've known more lows than highs following the Blades. So when we're confronted with a small winning streak it's refreshing to see the general mood of the forum lift. Of course there are disagreements that can move from the mild exchange of ideas right through to the overly demonstrative in their views, but overall I've noticed a feel-good vibe that's centred on the next game against Peterborough. I don't think anyone's gone overboard, but it's lovely to have a feeling of optimism about the place.

Small seeds and all that, and yes, we've been down this path too many times to get carried away, but there does seem to be a connection between the current management and the supporters that I can't recall for a decade or more. Isn't that central to any club that's on the up?

Don't think I'm becoming some kind of flag waver that's suddenly bought into a new Blades philosophy of optimism. We're where we are for a reason. Poor management and the purchasing of (generally) mediocre players hasn't exactly set this place alight in the past, but now there does seem to be something in the air that suggests we're in capable hands. Like most things, time will tell.

I'm still wary and cautious, but I'm also enjoying what's happening around the club. If we lose against Peterborough yet give our all then I doubt we'll here too many complaints. There'll be disappointments of course, but we'll move onto the next game knowing our players and management will do their best for themselves, the supporters, and the club.

we should always enjoy wins, no matter what, we are in with our peers at this level , for now
the enjoyment isn't as high as 3 wins on the bounce in the championship would be, but we cant enjoy that till we get back there
so live for today and accept the good times as they happen
another 28 wins would be nice

The consequence of a winning run
Bippity boppity boo
Points to be gained and games to be won
So we can stop fannying about and get the fuck out of this God-forsaken shithole of a league

Good post mate. I agree. I didn't think there was any crisis in the first place. I was at Bolton and thought we were the best team and unlucky to lose. I thought Rochdale were good and deserved what they got. I thought Crewe were lucky. I didn't see the Southend game but all in a seasons work eh? You play good and lose. You play bad and lose and sometimes it's a draw. The games we've lost we seem to have beaten ourselves mostly through daft mistakes.

We'll only get better imo and I'm optimistic about our prospects for tomorrow and the rest of the season.

My first game of the season was sarfend, and believe me that first 15 minutes was as bad as anything I have witnessed, yes we got better but to be fair they weren't going to be coming at us were they? If we hadwon 0-3 no matter who we were playing we would have gone ballistic. So no we did not beat ourselves, we were shit. I am not avin a go but to say the games we have lost we have beaten ourselves is wrong.
