Has founds its way on to my strictly proscribed list of establishments, brands and other services that will not be getting any of my money.

I refuse to put in a single penny more of my money in to pig businesses, or businesses that promote the pigs than is strictly necessary.

When you say promote the pigs I assume you mean going beyond just showing the match on their TV?

Been in once since they stopped selling Wards..

Awful place.

Mind you some fine memories of Sunday lunch 'entertainment'. Football in the morning, down The Hermitage for the first 'show' at 1230, few pints of Wards before the 130 'performance' and home for Sunday lunch at 230.

And definitely no pigs ever...

Why did life and its pleasures seem so much more simple down London Road in the Eighties?

This is the place on London Road?? Most defo WILL NOT being going in there again!

They probably make more on a match day than the rest of the week put together..if not careful will be out of business..imo

Yes. One of those places that gets repeatedly refitted and renamed, but somehow clings onto its essence of shitness.

Exactly.

I remember the old scruff who used to go in there minesweeping pints and watching the football. He did it to me once, then a fortnight later I bought a pint of Carling, drank half of it, took it to the toilet, topped it up with piss and left it out for him, and watched him pick it up and walk off and he supped the lot.

Good, and I hope nobody on here uses it again until it changes owners.

He was probably thinking, "ooh this tastes nicer than usual"

We were going to have one after the Tony Kenworthy night.

Walked in... Looked like the shithole I expected, there were a few people in but nobody waiting to be served.

Went up to the bar, the barman continued dicking about with his phone and seemed uninterested in welcoming/serving us, so we walked out and went to an establishment of quality in the Beer Engine.

My matchday pub and has been for roughly 7 years. Messaged them on Facebook when I saw a pig crest as their profile picture. I speak with the owner Adrian fairly regularly and he's got big ideas for the gaff, after it spent absolutely years being a complete dive (not perfect now either, but the beer is far better than it was before). Going in at some point this week to have a chat, because if enough people cotton on that whoever runs their Facebook page is spunking over the pigs, it'll be boycotted by many and it'll probably die.

Tell Adrian I think he is a cunt

Kindest Regards
