So you're saying it doesn't matter who it is, or what it looks like, the money is more important?

I can't agree with you on that point.

Of course the age of the club is relevant, we have history and tradition, and a child's drawing of a cat wouldn't be something our grandfathers would have been proud of.
The landscape of football has significantly changed from what it once was. The influence of money has become overwhelmingly prominent, compelling club owners to seek various sources of funding to sustain their operations on a daily basis.

At this point in the season, having played nine games, I find it hard to believe that we were presented with a plethora of quality sponsorship options. The sponsors have also missed the opportunity with the initial kit release during pre-season.

If I were to consider their logo, it wouldn’t be my first choice. However, I’m not overly concerned about it; it seems people are too emotionally invested in this issue. Personally, I would prefer that teams play without any sponsor logos on their kits. Yet, sponsorships have infiltrated every aspect of the game— from socks and shorts to training kits and facilities. It’s quite excessive, but it reflects the lengths to which the commercial team must go to secure revenue.

Meh, I hate it but this is the way the world is now. Cryptos, gambling, energy drinks.

Tacky shit but brings in the money I guess

This is a bigger wind up than the car mat post when we were waiting for Burrows to be announced.

There are people at our club actively taking the piss out of the fans. That is absolutely rancid
Quality! You should have put on full image though.

Those lucky Japanese cats predate the formation of the club, so maybe it’s United that are ruining the lucky cat’s history and traditions. šŸ¤”šŸ¤£

I couldn't believe the ugliness when I saw The Star picture... what on earth is the club thinking by allowing an awful logo on the front fo our beloved red and white shirts...........get it off!!
Someone is signing these off. That's the worry.

They don't seem to care about size or alignment either.
Make the width match the pinstripes...

But then that would mean they have to have various sizes to suit all shirts.

It's absolutely awful though

Just a reminder our first premier league sponsored in 2019 was dodgy too

And let's not get started on Randox Health.
Let me try to explain.
Most people are complaining, not because we have a sponsor, it’s the fact that the logo on the shirt looks f….. ridiculous.
If it was to be ironed on to a onesy for a 5 year old girls birthday party, it would be fine.
But,we are a professional football club, and no one in their right minds can think this is anything but an absolute joke, of a logo, that should be nowhere near a club like ours.Even the local Dog and Duck would get pelters for putting that on their shirts.
We at least get the option, not to have the ridiculous thing put on our replica shirts.Pity our poor players who will have to run out at Elland Road,Turf Moor etc, with a kid’s pussycat drawing on their shirts, to the inevitable pisstakes from the home fans. They looked absolutely thrilled to be wearing it(not) on the video.I shudder to think how Souttar’s gonna look in one, and would have liked to have seen his reaction, when he first saw it.
The club’s branding, and shirt, should be iconic, and does matter, as it does to all multi million pound businesses, who usually have the good sense to protect it, as a business strategy. We on the other hand appear to,not give a shit about it,so long as it brings in a few quick quid.
I don't give two fucks what the logo on the shirt looks like. For what it's worth, I quite like it and I"m secure enough in my masculinity not to feel like having a cartoon cat on the shirt is anything to be embarrassed about.

I'm complaining because we're being sponsored by a shitcoin and when the inevitable stories of people losing their life savings on it start getting linked to us, it will be a lot worse for the club's image than being mocked for having a cartoon cat on the shirt.

Didn't know who Maneki was but I'd have guessed it was some sort of trendy Japanese style designer fashion label.

Think it looks weird but in a weird Japanese style way.
Agree with some of the others.....if we're promoted this could become a classic logo.

I am not keen on it, but in a perverse kind of way I also like it. Let’s put it this way, if we get promoted with that on the shirt it may be regarded as a classic in future.

I realise ā€œmayā€ is doing a lot of heavy lifting here….

I think it’s prrrrrrrrfect 🐈

We better win tomz or next doors cat will die next time it shits in my garden 🪓

Lucky lucky lucky!!
