Does a Union Jack automatically make you a brexiteer now?
No it doesn't but there's been a joke about us being 'brexit blades' hasn't there. Not arsed about getting into a political debate about it either

Can I ask why it's a Ponzi scheme?
What does it do? Absolutely nothing. All you do is transfer your money into a digital coin that does nothing, you can’t use it to pay for anything, transfer for any product or service, all you can do is sell it to another idiot. Meme Coins are just a joke, they are meant to be a joke. Their only purpose is speculation in an unregulated market and illegal pump and dump schemes.

So for the last ,what is it, three months?, we've had people bemoaning the fact we DON'T have a sponsor.
Now we've got one..............people are now Fucking moaning we DO actually have one!

It's the Blades way I suppose.
Let me try to explain.
Most people are complaining, not because we have a sponsor, it’s the fact that the logo on the shirt looks f….. ridiculous.
If it was to be ironed on to a onesy for a 5 year old girls birthday party, it would be fine.
But,we are a professional football club, and no one in their right minds can think this is anything but an absolute joke, of a logo, that should be nowhere near a club like ours.Even the local Dog and Duck would get pelters for putting that on their shirts.
We at least get the option, not to have the ridiculous thing put on our replica shirts.Pity our poor players who will have to run out at Elland Road,Turf Moor etc, with a kid’s pussycat drawing on their shirts, to the inevitable pisstakes from the home fans. They looked absolutely thrilled to be wearing it(not) on the video.I shudder to think how Souttar’s gonna look in one, and would have liked to have seen his reaction, when he first saw it.
The club’s branding, and shirt, should be iconic, and does matter, as it does to all multi million pound businesses, who usually have the good sense to protect it, as a business strategy. We on the other hand appear to,not give a shit about it,so long as it brings in a few quick quid.

Importantly though:

"Maneki have opted to colour match their logo across all kits, and supporters have the option as to whether or not to have the logo applied to their shirt purchases."
It's good to have a choice, and definitely not a hard decision to reach.

Shitcat or not Shitcat?

Decisions, decisions

You have the option of having the new sponsors name on its not compulsory
I’m sure the sponsors don’t see it that way when they’re spending a fortune on the investment.

Unless your on about fans have the option and I’ve misunderstood.

Whoever sanctioned that wants shooting.

When they showed the logo, we should have told them that we are a football club that was formed in 1889 and we have dignity, and politely said no.

It's terrible, and embarrassing.

The club is in need of funding, and if they submitted the highest bid, we cannot reject them solely based on their logo.

The age of the club's is completely irrelevant in this context.

It's clear that our options were limited, and it's evident that the club requires this revenue.

We've just been fined £40,000 for the shennanigans at the end of the Pompey game, if the sponsorship is worth that or more then who gives a fuck what's on the shirt.

I think we've dodged a bullet here. It's actually quite discrete; the colour schemes - especially the black accents - help it blend in.

Could end up being quite the cult sponsor (like Desun was) if we end up walking the league...
Are you sure you mean 'Cult' sponsor😳
Class shirt utterly ruined.

Whoever decided that abomination is befitting needs shagging with the sharp end of a rag man's trumpet.

Abysmal.🙄

I'm finding it hard to fully grasp your point 😂.

However, there are two undeniable truths: Firstly, the club is in need of financial support. Secondly, the prince lacks the necessary funds to compete at this level without external backing.

As a result, securing a shirt sponsor is essential, along with maximising all other revenue streams the club can generate off the pitch.

Our sponsorship team needs putting down. Absolutely tinpot and embarrassing IMO. I get were not Man Utd size but this is utter crap.
100%. Without any doubt, the shittest shirt sponsorship we’ve ever had. I wonder exactly how many people will take their lovely new shirts back to the Lane Shop to have this stuck on?
I challenge anyone to find a worse sponsor than this in football.

No worse than the company who lost their license or the hair transplant Dr on the sleeve. Bit stupid but not worth worrying about imo. Not sure when I’ve ever liked a sponsor on the shirt anyway.

Yep, it’s a financial scam. The company don’t do anything at all, it seems. They have printed a load of scam coins, keep most for themselves and sell a small amount. As they sell the small amount, the coin price rises and then they sell their own in to FIAT (creating money out of nothing) and leave the bag holders with a digital meme that is worthless. It’s on Solano and 50% of all projects on that platform have proven to be a scam. To get involved with this is seriously troubling.
Oh fuck off 🤣🤣🤣

Maneki is a cryptocurrency built on the Solana blockchain and inspired by the iconic Japanese symbol of good fortune, the Maneki-neko
You've managed to make that sound significant🤔
I guess crypto is as imaginary as paper money which holds no true value either.
Each to their own 👍

An experts view...the full thread is interesting

Correct. Crypto is the wild west and will be brought into line with regulations within the next 24 months.

It will be the dotcom bubble all over again and meme coins won't make the cut IMO. Those that prosper will be a select group that have use case utility functions.

So you're saying it doesn't matter who it is, or what it looks like, the money is more important?

I can't agree with you on that point.

Of course the age of the club is relevant, we have history and tradition, and a child's drawing of a cat wouldn't be something our grandfathers would have been proud of.

Wtf is a memecoin?

Is that like BitCoin but with Di Caprio’s face on it?

Not angry or triggered. It’s a choice to buy or not to buy. I wouldn’t because I think it’s hideous. Not sure a bloke of my age should be wearing a replica shirt but that’s an entirely different discussion and also each to their own

My Grandad told me he drew a cock on the wall of the cricket pavilion when he was in his sixties………

Although it looks a bit shit I'm not too precious about what logo we have printed on the shirt.
Only the team has the logo as supporters can choose to buy the shirt or not and to have the logo or not.
All it effects is the bank balance , it'll make no difference to the team , thier performance or my matchday experience.
I take on board all those comments from people who this really matters to , however it's really just a shit logo on a shirt you don't have to wear.
