To me it just seems like a simple mistake from the keeper and not intentional at all. We won the game, O’Hare’s fine. Let’s move on.

People are so one-eyed it's astonishing. The keeper makes himself big and reacts to the chip. It all happens instantly. No malicious intent at all. And why not bring up McCallum's elbow in the first that "should have been a red"?

It is no wonder the refs are always shit since they apparently work for all teams.

There's nothing in the rules about "intent". A dangerous tackle is a red card. I imagine there's no intent involved in the vast majority of red cards for tackles.

The keeper was reckless and kicked someone in the head. Compare it to Soumare's red where there was no intent and wasn't even particularly reckless, he was trying to pass to ball and caught the opposition player.

For some reason keepers are a protected species and can pretty much do as they please knowing they'll probably win a free kick at the end of it.

He's quietly feisty is Sydie which i like! Will make a good captain.

As I said he's at bit feisty not in a kick anything that moves way ! In a Michael Brown way who got under the skin of the opposition who usually respond in an unprofessional way.
I saw this in the cuptie at Bramall Lane against Wrexham last season.
Real charactor who is a winner and goes at it for 90+ minutes every game. Yes he has lots to learn but Wilder will not want to destroy his winning attitude mentality.
Hope we can tie him down to a longer contract he will be in demand so the quicker the better.

Although I don’t like the NFL style voice over from referees, it does help to clarify why a particular card is given. The yellow could have been given for either denying an obvious goal scoring offence, the goal was scored so it is downgraded from red to yellow or it could have been the severity of the challenge, reckless (yellow) or excessive force (red). Either way without knowing the reason it is difficult to judge, in my opinion the latter should have meant it was a red card, no excuses for that one.

From my point of view the keeper has a little look at o hare ( long after the ball has gone ) and lifts his leg up in a kind of instinctive protective way

It's intentional but wether it's malicious or not I don't know , the keeper could have easily just not done it but I think he knew he would get away with it and it was a bit snide
