It's the official Alan Knill thread, so get your Knill-related thoughts and comments in here...

When being interviewed he always likes to finish his sentences twice, his sentences twice.
That will go down with the interview analysis boys if he gets wheeled out on occasion.

Was once nearly killed by a squirrel:-

"Manager Alan Knill says Scunthorpe's difficult start to the season has been put into perspective after he almost suffered serious injury when his bicycle collided with a squirrel.
The Iron have lost their last six matches and are bottom of League One.
But it could have been worse for Knill before the 2-1 defeat to Notts County.

"I got hit by a squirrel. I went over the top of my bike and landed on my head, shoulder and neck," Knill told BBC Radio Humberside.
"I saw it run into the road but couldn't do anything about it and it just hit my wheel and stuck in my wheel and hit my brakes.
"For a minute, I thought I might have been in trouble because I landed on my head. Then, all of a sudden, I thought: 'I'm not, I'm alive!'"

A witness called an ambulance but Knill escaped with cuts and bruises.
He added: "Fortunately my collar bone is OK but I am pretty bruised. I could be dead and it's so stupid. I'm not and you have to put things into perspective."
Discussing his side's predicament, Knill added: "The situation we're in at the moment, I don't cherish, but there are worse situations."

He once sat just in front of me at a Ray LaMontagne gig at the City Hall. He got up & left before the end.

As long as he's sure he's not dead.

Let's hope Wilder lets him do the post match interview.

Him and Wilder might be the new Clough and Taylor, but by Christ the name Alan Knill makes you think we're shopping round for Barry Oddnobs for the next few years at least.

More Killer Squirrel antics:-

A politician who declared war on squirrels has been hospitalised after one of the creatures darted between the spokes of his bike's front wheel.
City of Chicago alderman Howard Brookins Jr needed surgery for a broken nose and fractured skull after he went flying over the handlebars when the "suicide" squirrel struck.
The crash, which killed the animal outright and left it lodged in the wheel, happened just days after he had called on the city to tackle the "aggressive" creatures.
He told the Chicago Tribune: "I can think of no other reason for this squirrel's actions than that it was like a suicide bomber, getting revenge.
