I'm a natural born pessimist but this is getting silly now.

We just keep getting results when we need to and things keep falling in our favour. I can't see us not going up. We are a team who knows how to grind out victories. Many of our halves have been poor but we have been really clinical without a prolific goal scorer playing most games. We have good spurts and seal games.

It's mad that we're top of the league with so many injuries. Incredible amount of credit needed for Wilder, Knill and all the other coaches.

Maybe luck played a part but what that was really about is actually having a squad

The game changed as soon as we made the subs

If our injury record is decent enough then we do seem destined to go up. Even with the injuries we've got away with it in a way I've not seen before. The points tally since boxing day has been very impressive

Would be great to get one of the auto spots, but Christ this squad will struggle in the Prem. Unfortunately, that’s how going up and down from the Championship works nowadays.

No such thing.

Going to have to work our bollocks off to get over the 90 points mark which looks likely with 4 sides in the race

So will Leeds, so will Burnley, so will Sunderland. Someone gotta go up so might as well be us again

I'd been saying if we survived past that awful Christmas run still in the top two I couldn't see much left to stop us. An injury crisis in midfield is doing its best but we're still churning out results.

The point about the ref is right. If he gave that performance against us we would be livid, as it is we will take it.
Having 2 players like Seriki and Peck make the contribution they have stepping up from the youth set up has been a real boost to the squad and results

Hamer's card playing too.

Agree with the OP robbiez666, we just find a way, no matter what is thrown at us. Winning so far has simply become habit for this side, the opposition know it too.

Beat hull, and one of Leeds or Burnley are going to drop points on Monday. Happy days

I've always said the trick to winning promotion out of this league is the horrible away games where you simply have to go away and get 3 points however you do it.

Home form will take care of itself for teams good enough, but it's the Bristols, the Watfords and the Cardiffs where you have to go and do the business.

Huge credit to Wilder and Knill.

One of the game changers was a lad who had hardly kicked a ball for us before this season (Seriki).

At its weakest the squad has hung in there. You’d hope the next week is only going to see it stronger and no disrespect but that we don’t spent the latter part of the season having to call on Oné and Blacker to be options for us.

This could be a financial transition year where the plan is to do a Norwich and get promoted, reap the rewards, get relegated and build a PL team with finances. Bit like last season but we actually invest instead of what HRH did.
Bonus could be we hang on to PL and do a Villa / Forest ie cheat, only way we become a regular PL club. (Note they bother sacked their brilliant Championship managers before success came along).
Hopefully new owners won’t want to take on the PL and authorities trying to break the PL mould and wage structure like Wilder/HRH/Mccabe.

No I'm a bigger pessimist than you!! :o)

If there was an olympic competition to see who was the biggest pessimist, I still think I wouldn't win..........

It's great to be a blade tonight.

Yeah, but if there was a Mr Universe for pessimists I would be standing on the podium with my freshly oiled pale skin looking down on you whilst still believing I would lose my trophy on some technicality.

At some point we will play well all game and give someone a good kicking. Femi's runs at the start of the second half were great to watch. Then when we got the lead we were all professional again. The more I think about it, it would be more like what would happen if we went up. Very little of the ball, lots of defensive work, quick counters. Is this the cwak plan get us over the line and do this again?

I predicted in Shoutbox last night on 38 mins Wilder would make changes and we will win.

I don't get how folk can't see our reserves are currently bossing it, once 4 more through door and 2 or 3 injured players back we are gonna stroll to the title. Champions this year.
