That's why we're getting promoted

Second half Swansea caused us problems and had it not been for some dodgy finishing, we would have found ourselves in a bit of bother tonight.

We lacked fluidity and we found ourselves giving away possession a bit too easy at times… again in the second half.

MOTM for me was RND….. his curve of development this season is vertically upwards. Not sure whether it’s the World Cup spurring him on, but he is transforming into a fantastic player.

Basham….Looked very unnatural and awkward in that position tonight. Hes always going to have athleticism and he will always throw himself in to make those key challenges, after all that’s Bash. But he can’t play that position, he isn’t gifted enough on both feet to do so. He’s very rigid with his lesser foot, which in turn leads to turning and going backwards.

Still love everything that Doyle is becoming… wasn’t his best performance tonight, but still very good. He is switched on and have that footballing brain, he just seems to know where other players are running.

A punt up field…. Determination from Brewster…. And fresh legs from Khadra bursting through to win it. Do we deserve three points?? Probably not….. Will we take them, of course…..not buying this naughton foul balls for the goal either
Don't know what you were watching but Bash was second only to RND. Brilliant tackle in the last minute before we go up the other end and win it. Anel struggled on the left first half so Play anywhere Bash had to swap with him and did great second half in an unatural position.

United can make anybody look good when we play away, it isn't going to change.
We'll nab an odd win like this occasionally whilst trying for no more than a draw, but a decent team on form will always break us down eventually because away from home they're not doing enough to win.
How many ‘decent’ teams are in this division though? Maybe 10? Or 7?
And what are the chances of us playing them when they’re ‘on form’? 50/50?
Looked at like that, it would suggest we’ll be broken down in 4 or 5 away games this season because we’re not doing enough to win.

The stats so far would back this up: 1 away defeat, 2 draws, 2 wins.

I know today could easily have been a 1-0 defeat but even then it wouldn’t make our overall away record atrocious.

I’ve no idea if we can keep this form going, but if we do exactly what we’re doing now for the rest of the season I think we’ll be in a great position.

There’s no way Hecky will change our approach to away games while we’re getting results like we have in the last two months, and that seems like a sensible move to me.

Yes, we'd definitely have lost this game last season
But I think with more adventure away from home we'd be a lot better to watch and still get the results

Great result and we won that with extra quality…… however……Swansea are bottom 4 and we could have easily have lost that game, Hecky will no doubt be focussing on this and with our injuries I’m not getting carried away.

To win away from home when both Berge and N’Diaye have an off night is absolutely huge.

20 points from 9 games with our injury list is phenomenal

Not doing enough to win, that's 6pts from our last 2 away games!
Yes, but Hull are poor, and we'll see that later in the season.
I'd just like United to take it to other teams a bit more when we are away, we are slower, more deliberate, cagier, not as fluent and somehow look a bit unbalanced and out of shape.

I know most teams aren't as fluent away from home, but there seems to be a much bigger difference between us at home and away

One of the biggest advantages we have is 5 subs allowed. Even with our injuries we have an exceptional bench with players that would start for most teams, especially attacking wise. The last thing defenders want to see is players like Brewster, Khadra and McAtee coming on.

Yeh we were, Wes smashed it out to their player and we lucked out he didn’t just shoot and instead crossed it. Very lucky to get 3 points.
Nah. I don't consider their ill judgement as our good fortune. If so, then spin on its head and consider Wes's ill judged clearance as their good fortune and it cancels each other out.

We've played 5 away from home won 2 lost 1 drawn 2, no team goes away from home all out attack the pressure is on the home team to do that we feel our way through the game which isn't a bad thing and most teams will raise there game against us. If we keep this form up home & away we'll be where we all want to be at the end of the season, I'll take the steady approach over the wreckless any day of the week if we keep picking up the points.

Thought everyone on the pitch worked their socks off tonight. Add to that the talent, the self belief and the right balance to the team. We’re not just going up this season. We’ll win the league at a canter.

Start of this week I'd have taken 4 points from these two away matches, maybe even a win and a defeat.

Nobody is going to romp the league like Fulham this year so win your home matches and be solid away and you'll be right up there.
