The Forest game is a Saturday 3pm kick off and they will still be rare thing next season with the new TV deal so I’ll go to that .. not sure I can be arsed with the Spurs game on a Sunday at 4pm.

The Atkins season was worse,

I mean, of course it was because it was mid-table mediocrity, in the 3rd tier. The lowest we've finished in my lifetime. But, relatively speaking it was a better season than this one. We won 18 games. We only lost 16, compared to the 23 AND COUNTING so far this season.

88 goals conceded so far. EIGHTY EIGHT... we conceded less than that in the previous 2 seasons combined.
We only conceded 102 goals in the previous 2 PL seasons combined.

My mate says this is the "worst United team ever". It's not as we are currently the 20th best team in the country, so how can it be?
I would say this is the worst season i've ever witnessed in terms of performances and results.

For me Adkins was worse due to the expectation I’d built up for that season, to see us bumbling around the pitch and the horrendous positive polly post match interviews really hurt as we should have done so much better.
This year I expected fuck all, the summer recruiting summed it up before we kicked a ball, the dry ass bumming we’ve got obviously isn’t palatable, the fact we’ve jettisoned so many of the players we’ve signed already and most will be gone by kick off next season, in a weird way I’ve accepted our fate, easier to deal with.
Plus we managed to surpass my first target of not being the worst team ever, I had hoped we would reign in Burnley but that’s obviously a step too far.
All about opinions I suppose, but we’re shit that’s for sure

Not an excuse but I think the rot set in as soon as 2 players were sold to Burnley and marseille before even trying to sign any type of replacement. On top of this just think about all the usual defenders that have been out, back in then out again a lot of the season. It might not have made a difference to results but it just might have helped with the actual scores

Baldock, Egan, Basham, Robinson, RND may not have helped with the results but it may have given us some proper Sheffield United performances.

mcburnie should have buried that chance keeper didnt need to save it he planted it straight at his body the inability to convert chances and defenders who cant defend has cost us big time

Definitely it basically told any player here by the way we’ve absolutely fucked the team and we’ve basically recruited players for league 1, what that must have done to team moral
