Calm down, there is still a long way to go in the season.

76 points last year would have got you sixth place, meaning if we get 40 points in the next 28 games we would stand a good chance of making the playoffs. Throw a few draws in then I reckon we need 11 or 12 wins out of the next 28 games which is very achievable.

IMO January will be crucial as I believe this will be the difference between playoffs and automatic.

Ah I see.
It does if we want top 6, which is what we should be aiming for now yeah.
You really do need more practice for the pantomime season.
"Oh yes it does".
Reply,
"Oh no it doesn't".
Now your turn. Come on have a practice.

CCV for the first 3 arguably, that first one was blooper DVD worthy. Blackman should’ve saved the fourth.

Blackman made a brilliant save at 1-0.

Agreed ccv makes a mistake for the first but he is a young lad and is still learning the game him self is bound to have a mistake every now and again. The second one is a bit harsh to blame on ccv as they break with pace and he just can't keep up and slips Fulham are one of the quickest teams in this league in my opinion so when they break quickly it is going to be hard keeping up with them and he slips in trying to keep up. The 3rd I thought was if we are going to blame anyone I think it was bash in the wrong to be honest the player was on the back post and ran from our right hand side Basham should be picking that run up and getting in front of his volley there. I don't think it's a bad performance overall and I think most of the game we out played them and they had a bit of luck on there side. Onto Birmingham now who I think we will give a good pasting to be honest.

Wow. The worst I’ve seen since the Southend debacle.

Bad bad BAD day at the office, embarrassing result and we’re back down to earth with a HUGE bang.

I’d hate to see us fade away after such an amazing start after losing Coutts. Time for the lads to step up to the plate starting on Saturday. Our season literally depends on it.

Today, that was shocking. Some of the mistakes I wouldn’t have expected to see from Jay McEveley.

Birmingham can’t come quick enough.

Good post imo

Yes, it's the striker Billy Sharps fault that we let 5 goals in tonight. Fuck all to do with the fact that Carter Vickers gift wrapped 2 of them and Basham was 7 miles away from his man for the 3rd.

Let's all fucking blame Billy Sharp, the forums favourite target.
It has nothing to do with Billy Sharp.
He did not play badly tonight.
He had no service at all tonight.

Erm no one is blaming Billy. Someone just pointed out that he had a poor game, which he did.

His hold up play was immense tonight and regularly brought other players into the game. A part of his game that is often overlooked. It's not always about scoring goals. Part and parcel of that is that he's going to lose the ball sometimes.
He and Clarke gave me real hope during the match tonight.

Fulham deserved the win for me. They were pacey and more assured on the ball. Our terrible mistakes were gifts no doubt and didn't help, but felt we deserved to lose tonight. Basham not been anywhere near his man is not a blooper, just poor play.

Fulham looked good but gifting a team two goals back tends to do that...

You might be back down to earth with a HUGE bang. Most on here don't share your total overreaction.

Their pace caused us loads of problems

Every time they broke I feared the worst

Mistakes at the back cost us dear. I thought at 1-0 we looked fairly comfortable, but in the space of a couple of minutes we were 2-1 down WTF? Then Clarkey gets us back in it and bang another poor goal conceded

Let's hope tonight we got rid of all our mistakes to last the next 6 games

^^^^ this

Felt they deserved the win, played well stifled us and attacked with pace , yes we made bad mistakes and didn't get anything but we move on

Cw and AK mean we now enjoy our matches even when we loose IMO if that's possible !

Onwards to Saturday

Hats off to Leon , just a goal machine , !!

I didn’t just mean the result today has brought us back down to earth, i was more angling towards the injury sustained by our playmaker. Means we have to change our system hugely. Then tonight compounded it.

Great spirit at the end though, but we’ve come to expect that.

Apart from the silly mistakes , I thought we were done by pace and paid the price for having no pace ourselves.

oh yes it does. guys.. Coutts was our best player but over the last week he's turned into fucking Maradona

We were bossing it at 1 nil. Then we gift them 2 goals and the game turns on its head.

I thought they were good though, very good footballing midfield and lots of pace (which we struggled against). I think injuries to people like Cairnet have left them in a false position, I reckon they'll make play offs

Sessegnon, Ayite, Ojo, Cairney. All ridiculously on song, all on the front foot.

They forced the errors, then just picked us off second half.

I'm not sure Coutts makes a massive difference tonight. For 15 minutes they were as good as anyone I've seen at home in years. After that they got very lucky with a gifted first and a second from a slip. 3rd goal was the really bad one for me where we just stood off the cross.

I think we went gung ho a little early and got picked off. I thought we played ok attacking and made bad errors defensively without being ripped apart on tens of occasions.

If Coutts plays the Carruthers doesn't get on and we probably on score 2 or 3? I thought we might be a bit sloppy tonight and maybe we were. I still think they have the potential to murder teams and weirdly they didn' do that to us.

Just talking in circles because it was such a weird game

First goal bad mistake which happens week in and week out, second goal, a shot that hit a Fulham player in the gut and deflected to the scorer, third goal player not picking his man up etc, Fulham got their tactics spot on to stop us playing,I was more concerned the amount of times they got goal side of our players, the Fulham players were laid out on the pitch after the final whistle, that’s how much effort they put in,to wrap it up a bad day at the office and we move on to sat for a positive reaction.
