4 January 2015 (FA Cup 3rd round): QPR 0-3 Sheffield United

I know this is a result of our current status, and my perspective is based on over 45 years watching United, but really, I'd only consider Aston Villa to be "giants" in that list.... I think it's more embarrassing than satisfying to think of those victories as giant-killing.

After signing an entire squad and finish what was supposed to be a promotion chase with 4 wins from 17 games whilst publicly blaming eveyone else, it's difficult to envisage what this thing he was building would be any use at all.

I can only assume he's carried this imperious attitude into his post season debrief and the Prince etc have taken the view that he won't fix things he doesn't think are broken.

Absolutely right. Pretending Clough was on a 'long term project' is the kind of crap that keeps shite managers like Danny Wilson & Blackwell in a job. There was absolutely no way that next season would have been any different to the one just gone. We weren't just stagnating, we were going backwards. 'Thanks for the memories'? Utter bollocks. That's just the 'a stopped clock is right twice a day' reasoning that keeps these idiots in work. But don't worry. Another club will snaffle Clough up and realise in a couple of years why he's done fuck all in 17 years of management.
