1. Chris Wilder. For agreeing to join a club you love, ostensibly with a mission impossible at the end of a line of failed managers and with an executive which has a habit of pulling the rug from your well-rooted feet.
2. Alan Knill. For working with the above, with the residual players and for helping sign players who can make the difference.
3. Billy Sharp. For fulfilling your actual potential, wearing the shirt you love. We knew you had it in you.
4. The midfield. For anchoring the potential above and making us difficult to deal with both in attack and in owning the game. We haven't had this since the days of McCall, Brown, Ndlovu and Tonge.
5. Freeman. You are a revelation. I hope to fuck we keep you at BDTBL next season.
6. Basham. You've had your critics. You've played shit. But this season you have been so much better.
7. The defence. Everyone knows how much we have suffered due to the fact that we have been underpowered at the back in the past six years. You've changed this. You are most of why we are promoted. We win games by conceding less than the opposition. That's what we wanted and you have provided.
8. Moore. Okay. It's not been an easy season, but there have been moments where we have wanted someone to pull off that save which kept us in the game.

and

10. McCabe. Thanks for sharing our desires. Please, continue to make Sheffield United better. We have a Blade for a shared chairman, a Blade for a manager, a Blade for a top scorer and Blades for fans. It couldn't be better.

Thanks Sheffield United.

Blimey....Pompey thanking McCabe.

Don't worry, I'm on the phone now to report someone clearly hacking his account.o_O

Credit where credit is due. He did not sell key players and kept his faith in Wilder. What more could we ask for?

What happened to number 9 by the way? Pommpey

Its reserved for those who have engaged with me in proper debate about various issues with SUFC this season who haven't resorted to 'how many games have you been to' and argued a good case. You know who you are. Thank you.

Oh. And fuck off Top Cat. You're still a cock.

Thank You also to the Blades fans. I'm a Johnny-Come-Lately but have never enjoyed a football season as much as this one. Thanks to the folk on the forum and in the shoutbox for making me feel at home and welcome, and on the Shoreham End for the shared fun we've had.

The Blades didn't choose me. I came to Sheffield and chose United for the stadium, the city, the atmosphere and the fans. The Pigs might have been in a higher division but I went to Hillsborough once and felt nowt. There's only one place I want to be and that's at THE OLDEST PROFESSIONAL STADIUM...... IN THE WORLD.

COME ON YOU RED & WHITE WIZARDS :)

Agree, this season has been a total breath of fresh air compared to the last few seasons, I often felt as though it was a bit of a char on a Saturday to go.
But I have enjoyed and looked forward to every game this season.
Long may it continue and thank you Blades for giving me my mojo back. UTB

My thanks too. Two visual images in particular stand out for me :- the dug-out area after we equalised against Scunthorpe, and the one on the website of the dressing room today. They shout "togetherness" and "unity". It`s great to see, and who knows where that might take us all. Everyone associated with the club can smile and dream tonight. Well done to everyone at the club at last we have the United we all love back. We have won promotion through our efforts and all that remains is to top it off with the League One title can anyone not see this team getting the four points required? The Blades are going up and doing it in style playing great football non of this Bolton Hoof and hope, I want Bradford to joint us by winning in the play off's that is after we win them to become champions.
