Thank you John Lundstram

He wasn't exactly prolific though, was he?

The only time Lundstram actually picked himself was post Palace game and onward when to his credit, he became a pretty energetic RCM and was - like Fleck - able to knock some goals in on a season where we scored and conceded few goals but still managed to get results.

I was wrong about Lundstram. When he came it was a 'Oh, a Wilder/Oxford old boy and he's not that good.' And he wasn't.

Then when he did start to show some worth in the top flight (where we thoughts he'd suffer) Wilder signs Berge as competition. Wilder made some dead daft decisions in that period. Binning Stears and Cranie was another one
We switched Stearman for Egan and won promotion. That was the opposite of a daft decision.

And what use was Cranie going to be in the PL?

I think some people who are quick to defend him need a reminder about Lunny:

This is just 4 threads, there is more.

I vaguely remember Danny Hall finally asking Heckingbottom why Lundstram was still playing (and not getting a reasonable response). I think he did this after the poll thread that you link to.

There’s a game against Palace where Eze walks past him with the ball and he leaves him for Norwood to chase. Norwood got so much flak for that season with everyone saying ‘his legs have gone’ when you watch the games he had absolutely no help from Lundstram or Fleck. At least Fleck tried to make something happen at the top of the pitch.

Not being in the grounds really let him and others get away with a massive drop off in form.

Yes John, I wonder why you were getting pelters from our fans
