Now back with us after a very disappointing loan spell. Suspect he'll be imminently leaving, which is a shame as this time last year he was probably our best centre-half.
If it wasn't for his injury I think he would be ideal to replace Maguire, I'm very disappointed his loan hasn't gone too well.

The fact he's managed just two games says it all unfortunately. Looked overweight last I saw him at Fleetwood so I'd be surprised if we see him in a Blades shirt again. Good luck to him but it looks like he needs to look for another career.

I think Derry brought him in primarily to increase competition for places.

"Terry is a very commanding central defender which will put extra pressure on what we already have in that position. Like every player he will have to earn his place in the side, but the competition will certainly be fierce."

Their regular centre halves Leon Legge and Mark Roberts are experienced guys and they've been on a good run, so not too surprising his chances have been limited.

Has Otis Khan returned as well?

Centre half is probably the single most important part of the team to build an understanding between the players; it's only rare exceptions which allow chopping and changing (Ledley King being the only one I can think of). Unfortunately, Kennedy's knees just won't let him play 20 games a season, let alone the 40-50 you'd want a first choice centre half to be playing.

It's desperately sad for him but I just can't see a future for him as a pro. The real shame is that he evidently loves the game.

If he has I wouldn't mind seeing him getting a cameo at the weekend. He's been superlative on his loan spell by all accounts, been described as 'Barrow's only hope' of scoring a goal. And he even scored from a corner.

Yep it's a real shame Balham followed his career and since the youth cup final he,s had one problem after another with his knee. He would make a great captain but I feel his knee problems will finish him as a full time pro and that is a shame.
Maybe could still play as a part time pro but full time training and playing at least once a week is probably too much unless he,s happy to be a cripple from a young age as I said earlier he would make a great captain(fearless) I would love him to prove me wrong but I think by now he knows where he stands.

Skip to 1:10 to watch a good shot and then that corner goal:

Scores twice here (1:10 and 1:52):

Maybe a quick edit Bergen the goal in the second game is at 1.07

Thanks for doing the work and posting those, its great when loanees are doing well. Clearly a one trick pony identical finishes for both goals in the second game! ;)

He didn't play the other day so I'm guessing he's back. Surely he's done enough to warrant a chance?

What position has he been playing? Obviously, right footed from the video's above. He'd be behind Coutts, Flynn, JCR at the moment, if he is mainly a right winger. If we stay in this division, I can see him getting a run next season.

What a f***ing joke of a decision from Adkins. We are woeful at centre half, and yet the best centre half by a country mile gets loaned out to Cambridge. Perhaps we should have seen this coming after Adkins made McEveley captain and started the season at centre half... obviously another manager who is clueless with regards to centre halves. Must be something to do with the name Nigel.
I am afraid NA is a huge disappointment.

As Kennedy has been been at Cambridge for approximately 6 weeks and in that time has played 2 games being subbed (through injury?) after 24 minutes in the second game it would appear 'fucking joke' 'clueless' Adkins got this one exactly right.:)

I do feel sorry for Terry as he is an excellent player but I am afraid his consistent injuries will and indeed have hampered his progression in the game.

Indeed. We shouldn't be looking to bring in players that have been sitting on the bench at League 2 clubs, so I don't think we can expect to see Kennedy in the fold anytime soon. He was infrequently on the bench for us before the loan spell – the point of which was to get him some games and have him prove his fitness. He did not do well on his debut, was then moved to left-back, and following injury in that 2nd game, was benched for the rest of the loan.

According to Sky, left wing.

In some of his youth team games, Khan played a more central, attacking midfielder role, good pace good shot, not scared to shoot from distance.

Terry Kennedy may well never get over his injuries, which is a shame because he single handed kept us in some games last season.

A lad who spends most of his time injured and cant play more than 1 game a week when fit is probably not going to stay in the game an awful long time.

Tel is clearly a good player, but he cant stay fit - and thats not good enough for a side in Division Three where we need everybody available.
