If you really rate the lad but he can’t play yet, say for a month or two, but you can get him cheep then I would like to see us take the gamble

We are paying Bryan/Rodwell to possibly never play a game this year bar cup games etc

I remember towards the end of last season, there were quite a few Blades in the shoutbox saying how good he was going to be in the Prem, I tried to convince them he’s wank and wouldn’t cope but they wouldn’t listen.

Reasonable fee for a defender who’s gone for close to 40m in his career.

That said If he’s not fit it’s of no use to us either way.

The sad fact is that Fulham’s owner is a billionaire - he can afford to punt 4m on a player in the hopes that it works out. Won’t make a difference to Fulham either way - so I’d imagine they will just wave the signing through regardless of any health concerns.

We can’t do that - although we will spend we have to try and be prudent. I would have thought a loan might work to be fair as a way to limit risk, but if that’s not happening we’ll move on

That’s fine if they stay up but if they don’t and he turns out to be a crock then he’s stuck on their wage bill whilst they’re having to deal with FFP.
