The common theme of the 3 home defeats is that the opposition has played at a high tempo and got in our faces from the start - seems that they've got us sussed! Not sure what we're going to do about it though, given that the midfield lacks pace and Robson seems to be in the same mould.

Keeping the ball would be a good start. Lumping it forward (when you're not good at it) loses possession

Getting Doyle out of the side would be a good start he was atrocious on Friday and has been for the last few months.
But Wilson lacks the bottle to drop him and playing Kitson and Porter up front WTF

Our tempo has been lowered due to us not having fullbacks such as Lowton who bomb on to give further options as an attacking threat. The lack of pace in our team is still very worrying defensively and in an attacking sense further lowering our tempo.

Our tempo will be largely driven by our off the ball movement, for most of this season both have been very poor.

I thought both improved enormously with the introduction of Robson and Forte on Friday. Robson demands the ball (something we haven't seen from McDonald and Doyle), at one point he came short to take it off Maguire and was absolutely screaming at Harry when he didn't give it him.

Forte's introduction pushed the Coventry defence back ten yards and meant the midfield had more room to play in. There was a moment when McDonald was carrying it forward, head up and slid a through ball between two defenders for Forte - it was almost like going back in time 12 months.

There were more negatives granted but I thought Friday was the first home game that we could take some positives from since Boxing Day.
