Team vs WBA?

Agreed about midfield but Macallum has been a very effective defender. When he’s off the pitch for Burrows, we seem to get over run down our left flank.
Agreed, Macallum has looked by far our best option at left back, Burrows form has suffered a drastic downturn.

Very worried about the midfield but Chong, Soumare and Arblaster can't start again, then we only have Matos to maybe start?

Cooper

Seriki Tanganga McGuinness McCallum

Brooks Hamer Reidewald O'Hare

Campbell Bamford

Subs;
Davies
Bindon
Burrows
Matos
Arblaster
Soumare
Chong
Cannon
Ings
We will defo need the two Mc's to counter their threat from corners.

FFS if they've got the same bug as me then I sympathise it's a real bastard. Been told to take it easy tonight so I'm not going out until 8.00pm and going to be straight home after closing time. One of those rare nights I'm hoping there's no after bird.
Good advice

Glad you’re taking it easy

Be kind to yourself

I'd mix it up a little given the absentees:

Cooper
Seriki McGuinness Tanganga McCallum
Brooks Matos Riedewald O'Hare
Hamer
Bamford

Subs: Davies, Bindon, Burrows, Soumaré, Arblaster, Chongy, Ings, Cannon, Campbell

Weakness in CM means playing a 6-8-10 might be a better bet. I'd personally rather have Soumaré next to Riedewald but we all know how much Wilder loves a left foot/right foot midfield combination. Nice to have lots of options on the bench too.

Also noticable that nobody asked Wilder about Tom Davies in the press conference. I can only assume he's out until the new year. And then until Easter.

Aye, I think in the last presser Davies was mentioned as being back around after the Christmas games.

I'd be tempted to play Burrows in CM ahead of Matos, Soumare and Hamer....

You know we'll get a 4/10 from him in there which is double what the first two would give, and we all know Hamer would go walkabout after 10 mins and leave us exposed...
Arguably - playing Burrows centre mid has led us to the position we are in now. I believe we were stretched at the time last season as he started CM with young Sydie. An unfancied Hull rolled into town with an up and coming manager by the name of Ruben Selles. A 3-0 win for the tigers and Burrows own goal later...you could say the rest is history o_O

Don't particularly rate Burrows in midfield on past showings but might be alright as a one-off if he's got Riedewald next to him.

Only reason I'd have Burrows there is because he's decent on the ball compared to Matos who has all the passing dexterity of Ismaila Coulibaly in a pair of clown shoes

Wilder tried this a couple of times last season (when we were beating everybody)... it didn't work.

I remember Swansea away, we were awful. Losing at HT. He put Burrows back out wide and we won 1-2

I would go like this:

COOPER
SERIKI - BINDON - TANGANGA - McCALLUM
HAMER - RIEDEWALD
CHONG - O'HARE
BAMFORD - CANNON

Dont know who's injured or ill so it's a guessing game, but if fit....
Cooper
Seriki, Tanganga, Mcguinness, McCallum
Brooks, Reinawald, Matos, Hamer
O'Hare
Bamford

Wilder played Burrows in CM as we had nobody else other than Billy Blacker, who is himself a converted forward with no senior experience. There is absolutely no way he'd pick a left wing back ahead of available senior central midfielders no matter how little the punters rate them, not least because the fallout in the dressing room would be ridiculous.

Glad people pay attention to my formation and front six choices. I am a tactical genius.

With Riedewald back in the office, I think I would be less worried about Soumare and Matos. It has made such a difference to Sydie.

Although it is making me think about a dog owner holding the lead of a very excitable (long legged) puppy. teach them a bit of discipline and they are great, until that point it limbs all over the place

You must be mad if you would pick Burrows in Midfield
He was fucking useless there last season. Hes not been in great form at LB so moving him into midfield would be insane
