I'd be tempted to play Burrows in CM ahead of Matos, Soumare and Hamer....

You know we'll get a 4/10 from him in there which is double what the first two would give, and we all know Hamer would go walkabout after 10 mins and leave us exposed...

Think we once tried burrows in cm it didn't work

Playing Hamer next to Riedewald could end up being the answer as to how we get both O’Hare and him in the same team in a 442.

Hamer in central midfield is a common denominator between the first 6 games of this season and when we conceded 104 goals in the prem.

Unless the opposition is camped in the box and we’re chasing a winner in the last 20 minutes, it should be avoided.

Soumare has at least played a part in some of our victories and hopefully with Riedewald looking after him he should do better.

I’d rather have burrows in the middle than either Hamer or Soumare tbh, Hamer is and always has been an atrocious player defensively.

It's also the answer as to how Selles got sacked...

Have you forgotten his role in the first 6 games of the season?

As much as it really isn't me trying to be contrarian, it's no coincidence to me that our best run of form has come with him out of the side...

Very worried about the midfield but Chong, Soumare and Arblaster can't start again, then we only have Matos to maybe start?

FFS if they've got the same bug as me then I sympathise it's a real bastard. Been told to take it easy tonight so I'm not going out until 8.00pm and going to be straight home after closing time. One of those rare nights I'm hoping there's no after bird.

In my opinion, Burrows doesn’t have the awareness around him to be an effective CM.

He'd end up in no man’s land constantly.

o'hare did nothing on the left tuesday bench him bring riedawald and hamer in and play mcallum and burrows down the left could be a very interesting partnership that one im suprised we havent tried.it yet

Im not a fan of Hamer in CM but we don't have much choice unless you start Matos.

Soumare and Arblaster aren't starting again.

Nonsense we play way better with O Hare in the team. Given the situation he was trying too hard but never ever underestimate his non stop running affecting opposition in a very positive way for us.

There's too many known unknowns and unknown unknowns to guess a starting eleven for tomorrow.

That being said - presuming none of Tuesday's absentees are available, and we're managing minutes for blaster and Chong.

Cooper
Seriki Tanganga Bindon McCallum
Brooks Hamer Soumare Ohare

Really praying that Jairo and Peck are available. Not seen Wilders presser from today so no idea what he said, although wouldn't expect him to let WBA What's what anyway.

I don’t think you can make a fair assessment of anyone’s performance from Tuesday night. It was like they’d never played together, largely I suppose because they hadn’t. But they certainly weren’t up with the quick paced, back to front style that had brought success in the last four fixtures. Time and again down the left, Burrows looked to play the ball long down the channel, only to see Ings stood in the centre circle with his hands on his hips.
As far as I’m concerned Callum O’Hare has certainly earned himself the benefit of the doubt, with his performances this season and is head and shoulders a better option than Burrows or Macallum in midfield.

Agreed about midfield but Macallum has been a very effective defender. When he’s off the pitch for Burrows, we seem to get over run down our left flank.
