Stearman/Cranie - Egan - JOC

Freeman - Norwood - Fleck - Stevens

Duffy

McGoldrick - Sharp

Can't decide best RCB and Duffy in for Clarke IF fit. Egan was close Saturday so should be ok.

I'd say deffo Cranie at RCB, and Stears in the middle if Egan isn't fit, and rest McG as he's on 4 bookings, stick him on the bench and put him on if we need him.

Cranie for Bash, I'd be tempted to keep Stearman in as he didn't really do anything wrong on sat and making two changes in the back three is quite disruptive. Saying that, Egan has only been out for one game

I doubt Duffy will start, but i'd also look at giving Coutts a start

Leon and Billy up top

Can't be giving Coutts a start in my opinion.

He's had a few 10 min and a 30 min cameo and barely touched the ball. Almost been a passenger. I agree to keep his appearances limited to these 20/30 min a game roles for fitness.

I don't think we can afford for him to be starting as things stand.

This is a huge test for us and we don't want to lose and or turn in an iffy performance. There are 3 points at stake just as there ate the following Friday. We should play our strongest team. The only exception IMO we might consider is keeping McGoldrick back to avoid a yellow card.

If Duffy is not fit then play the same starting 11 except Bash of course. Egan in, Bash out.

SIMPLES

1 point is very respectable against the tree hugging, tights donning, arrow chucking merry men of Notts ;)

Got a feeling he may go one up top with a 10 behind and bring Lunny in, (or Coutts if he thinks he is ready).....but that would mean Billy missing out and after hitting a hat-trick that would be harsh

Henderson

Freeman Stearman Egan JOC Stevens

Norwood Fleck Lunny

Duffy

Clarke

I agree that Lunny will probably be in for this one.

Subs: Moore, Cranie, Freeman, Coutts, Duffy/Woodburn, Johnson, Sharp

Can't risk Duffy if he's not right, which means starting McGoldrick and risking a suspension for him.

Coutts probably isn't ready to start, so start Lundstram, on a ground he scored last season. He has a big point to prove.

Freeman has looked tired/below par recently. Start Baldock and preserve Freeman for the derby.

Sharp or Clarke could start, but I'd lean towards Clarke for this game and also think Sharp's more vital for the derby. Starting them together wouldn't really be an option with no attacking midfielder.

I very much hope not. He hasn't been near the first team for some time. There's a reason for that and I've seen nothing to suggest it's due to injury. We are progressing not regressing.

It will interesting to see what side they pick for tonight's chuckaturd trophy game against the mighty Burton. UTB

It would have been the u23s if it was the Checkatrade.

But it’s the Carabao so I’m guessing it will be senior players but very few that started last week or will start on Saturday

God no, who mentioned the L word?

since he has been nowhere near the team we have been progressing and around the top.. no coincidence...

if he plays it will upset the fluidity and speed at which we move the ball...bye bye 3 points...IMHO

We now have at least 2 players for every position, so we really don’t have to shuffle the pack. Simply put Cranie in for Bash and if Egan ain’t fit, its got to be Stearman for me.

So how many regulars did Forest have in their starting line-up for tonight's game?

Osborn and Dias the most , and then Cash and Watson have played a fair bit.. Karanka certainly rested up 9 or 10 of the starting XI that will start vs the Blades on Saturday.

Colback will be a big miss for them as he picked up his 5th yellow at Leeds just gone, Karankas rock in the midfield.

Colback will be back against us, he missed tonights match.

Best team.

Let’s not get so wrapped up in the derby that we so willingly throw away 3 points.

Henderson
Egan Stearman O’Connell
Freeman Norwood Fleck Stevens
McGoldrick
Sharp Clarke

Probably no need to risk Duffy and McGoldrick is an ex-player.
