Would like to see the beard back tommorow,i think we`ll need his pace against a physical team.
Grayson will want this one,he`s` a horrible bastard, and he will make pne play physically tommorow, dont think they will give us any time on the ball and will be flying in with the tackles.
As far as league games go,i think this will be the most physical this season.

Same team that started vs Charlton please. They've had a little time to rest, so let's get over there and put one over on them.

We need to keep momentum, so I'd like to see the strongest team possible out.

Sure it will be a physical battle, but we'll be up for it. Just need to keep it tight and hit them on the break. Fortunately it is Nigel's speciality. With our rock solid defence and pace on the counter I am quietly confident we can snatch a result at Deepdale.

Tend to agree with that gav-b, We do seem a bit lightweight when it comes to the physical side of things. Just wandering if he will stick paynter in there, give their defence something to think about. (will be 1st time this season). Still see utd getting something out of it though, Flynn, scougal, Cody and the rest can look after themselves from what I've seen. Just hope no-ones holding back because of the semi. I'm sure cloughy will have put them straight on that on. UTB.

Got to keep the strongest team available whilst ever we've a chance of the play offs.

The last physical team we played,Paynter and Porter started and did well and we won one nil. I wouldn't be surprised if one of these two played instead of Baxter who seems to rarely perform well away from home.

Is Brayford fit ? If not I expect Freeman to start rather than Davies as right back

Said it elsewhere but I think Preston attacking us will suit us down to the ground.

Not worried, same goes for Hull.

Stevenage and Oldham will be difficult as I can't see them taking the game to us.
In fact if we are in with a shout of the play offs when Oldham comes around it may well be our toughest test (apart from Arse in the final :))

They have Kevin Davies, but they're not really a team of giants. Not sure we have to change much to counteract them.

Our first choice eleven is lacking in height and strength to cope with a Preston-type team. On the other hand we could play them off the park and pass them to death.

Interesting conundrum, pick a team that makes it a battle which they will relish, or try to pass them off the field. In the mix is the fatigue of the players and a Wembley game coming up, as well as numerous other games against league promotion candidates.

I have an instinct that NC holds little truck with all this about fatigue and squad rotation. However I reckon he'll play Porter or Paynter or both tonight on merit due to the nature of the game.
