Which , of course , virtually guarantees that he will score more goals ? I think not .
As just two examples , neither Jimmy Greaves nor Gerd Muller were particularly big or fast but managed to chip in with the odd goal now and again ..........
From a very early age , Billy Sharp has been blessed with that rare and special talent which very few others possess which is the ability to put the ball in the back of the net on a regular basis . Just 8 minutes after coming on the field against Bournemouth he confirmed that he has lost none of that ability .
Furthermore , when he has been brought on as a substitute he , along with McBurnie , has has brought about an entirely different and altogether more threatening dynamic to the team .
In spite of this , it appears that the manager and many Blades fans are comfortable with the idea of him having to make way for two players , decent though they may be , who clearly do not have this special talent and who are equally clearly uncomfortable in that role .
Apparently in some people's minds , the solution to the problem of our two chosen strikers not having a single goal between them is to introduce a player who has scored just 3 in 52 appearances rather than one who has scored over 30 .
Sometimes I wonder...........
