If we start mcgoldrick Robinson and mcburnie we have three players who are equally adept at number 9 and 10
Not sure what that means but it excited me
It means we would probably be extremely flexible and fluid in our movement and interchanging of positions between the 3 of them, making them a nightmare to mark for the opposition. Kind of like Barce (and Cruyff’s Holland) in their prime....😀 Maybe it become another aspect of Blades playing “proper football”. Just hoping that Chris keeps it positive in the first few games at least - get a few points, build some momentum and try and build on it

My team:

Henderson

Basham. Egan . JO'C / Jagielka

Baldock Norwood Fleck Stevens

L.Freeman

McBurnie Robinson.

I think Wilder might play Stevens at the back and Osborn on left midfield. He might play McGoldrick instead of L.Freeman.

Sharp and Morrison on the hour.

If the game had been at home I would have played K.Freeman.

What a bench!!

I would go

Hendo

Baldock Bash Egan JOC (if fit) Stevens

Norwood fleck

Freeman

Mcoldrick Robinson

That said lundstram is 💯 to start and JOC is probably not going to be fully fit. Think we are better off getting the lindstram experiment out of the way (it’s gonna happen) before reverting back to a proper 10.

Robinson has excelled in attack so can’t inderstand wanting to put him in as a 10?? Other than to crowbar him in.

Think we’ll see mcburnie from the bench

I have a feeling Jags will play either for Basham or JOC (if he’s injured).

Up front I’d go with Robinson and McGoldrick.

I just wonder if this could be the plan for away games this season:

.......................................Henderson..............................

....................Bash..............Egan..............JOC................

Baldock..........Norwood...............Fleck..........Stevens..

...................Didzi.............................Robinson.............

.......................................McBurnie................................

More a counter-attacking setup?

That's exactly as i'd set up, though I'd have had Robinson beside McBurnie (doesn't really matter cos they all drift anyway).

Tricky to pick a starting 11, especially the attacking positions.

One prediction I do feel confident about though is....
Wilder will make plenty of substitutions using his squad players and probably on the 65th or 70th minute stage.
So our substitutions will see plenty of game time, compared to other teams.
None of this “let’s make a substitution on 89th minutes” malarkey.

If you think we’ve signed McBurnie to sit on the bench then I think you’ll be disappointed. Nailed on to start I reckon.

He is but maybe not the first game though same for Ravel

Can you put your side up again, I've had a quick scan through the thread and I can't see it??

There's several threads on the go where I've done that.

However I've since reconsidered re-Mousset as I'm not sure where he's going to fit, so this allows me to tweak my previous predictions as follows:

Jags for Bash or Egan
Robinson and McBurnie up top
Freeman behind them.

The rest as you were.
