Same starting line up? Mousset or didzy into the fold from the get go? Any injured returning?

would play mcburnie tonight as will need some height against their 3 big donkeys at the back

Personally would like to see:

Olsen
Bogle Egan Davies Stevens
Hourihane Fleck
Ndiaye Didzy MGW
Mousset

Subs: Fods Sharp Basham Osborn Lopata McB Norwood
Out of interest, what is the reason for dropping Sharp and Norwood?

Aren't Millwall a bogey team for us?

Unless its fitness issues it'll be the same team. Slav doesn't seem to trust the squad depth at all

Moose scored and Sharp didnt have a great game Saturday.
Indeed, Moose scored after good build up play from Billy and Didsy.

Billy plays the system well in that lone striker role, often dragging defenders out or coming out wide to receive the ball allowing other players to get in the box in the space he leaves.

Moose has come back from weeks out with a hamstring injury, brought on by his poor conditioning. So he’s not yet ready to be starting midweek so soon after a run out on sat. Slav has also alluded to his attitude in his latest interview.

As much as I like Moose, I don’t think he starts unless he’s playing alongside Billy in a front two and even then it’s an hour run out at most. He’s made of glass afterall.

Would agree with most of this, but...

Olsen
Bogle Egan Davies Stevens
Norwood Fleck
Ndiaye Didzy MGW
Sharp (Mousse on 60)

According to the Millwall fans on Roy’s View From… we’re their bogy team.
We had a very good 4-0 win there under Warnock, a game I remember well as I was living near the New Den at the time, sat with the home fans to avoid being kept in for half an hour afterwards, and was the only person left in the entire stand 10 minutes from the end when they’d all walked out.

I thought Slav got it wrong against Middlesbrough by not rotating the squad with a tough game against Bournemouth next up.
Slightly different this week as the lads have an extra day's rest and a short journey to Barnsley. I'd put Hourihane in for Norwood and assuming no injury concerns, keep the rest the same.

Hourihane for Norwood. Keep the rest the same.

We also had a magnificent 3-2 win there in our promotion season when Sharp missed a pen then scored for us to lead 1.0 at half time. They got 2 early second half goals to go in front and their fans milked it. Then Didzy notched 2 goals, the first a pen then a very late winner after a superb run by Duffy.

One of the best away days for a long time

Couple of changes, keep it fresh…
Sharp to the bench.
Ndiaye to the bench

Reason…Ndiaye is not there yet with strength and fitness to play this often…save him.
Sharp will struggle against their back line and also getting on so would be more suited later in the game if we are controlling play and getting in behind.

McB in for the battle they will make it up top.
Bash in for Bogle…push Bogle into midfield and MGW central.
Bash for some extra height and bite at the back. They will have been hammering set pieces in prep for us as we are very poor at defending them.

Plenty of possession, make them chase it, then bring on Ndiaye, Brewster/Sharp, McG….pace, skill, class and experience…they are gonna make it really tight so we need to be patient and open them up later on. No point tiring our better more creative players so they too are less effective when they opponent is starting to tire

I'm torn between wanting Didz to start from the off, or bringing him on later on like we did on Saturday.

Seems like a banging option to have on the bench to turn a game on it's head, but I'd also rather we didn't have to rely on that 'super sub' type and just be comfortably cruising by the 80th minute. There's no reason as to why he can't start the game like he finished it at the weekend.

Having said that though, same starting XI as Stoke for me unless anyone is crocked for whatever reason. I did say I was torn.

Unless Sharp is injured he will play. It’ll be the same team unless there’s knocks.

OLSEN

BOGLE--EGAN--DAVIES--ENDA

HOURIHANE--FLECK

MGW--DIDZ--BREWSTER

MCBURNIE

SHARP-IN THE U23'S

Chances of it happening zero :tumbleweed:
