Maybe it will look better in the flesh? Same as the designers at British Leyland thought about their cars in the 70’s…
I thought British Leyland get bought out by Crab Motors? I seem to remember the press release saying how good the designs were.

Meanwhile we don’t have a ‘statement of words’ from our owners

That’s true. The Allegro was a hard sell though…

The two for one deal was a good offer though....well it was until the reviews noted that they used the front 1/2 of one car & the rear 1/2 of a different one.
Calling it the Ambasagro was Crab marketing at its finest.

I learned to drive in my old mans Austin Princess made by British Leyland. It must have had the longest bonnet of any car in the world, nightmare to drive.

On only my second drive after i passed my test and with mates in the car I unintentionally went off road in Derbyshire down a rocky farmers track and grounded the front of the car. I quickly backed out and carried on...only for a red light to appear on the dashboard. Having no idea what it meant I just carried on until the car ground to a halt...id punctured the oil sump and all the oil had run out and the engine seized up !

Wouldn't go to Birmingham away, Jesus christ Small Heath has to be one of the shittiest of shitholes in the whole of England.

If you didn't know where you were I'd swear you'd think you were in downtown Kabul.
Gas Street canal basin has excellent food and drink offerings. Give it a try if you're ever in Brum for any reason.
