Che playing, Jake Wright (Senior) as Captain, Leon Clarke and McNulty. Don't know much about Alex Davey, anyone got any info?

Cheers Inter and Rodders, I assume on trial with a view to a loan?

It's crazy that players get to 21 years old and only have played 20 odd professional matches. Some of youngsters are approaching 100 appearances at that age.

Perfect age to get them from Premier League teams in my opinion. Obviously have something about them if they are still there at 21, and you know they have been coached well. Give me these types of players over past it premier league/championship players everyday (yes I mean you Dean Hammond).

I heard he was out for 3 months after getting a splinter from the bench!??

Whilst I agree with you to an extent it is dependant of position and club as to number of games played.
Centre back is a position where any manager will not take a risk with a young lad.
Semple is 6 months away according to Wilder but do you think a club expecting promotion would dare risk playing him? No.
Would Chelsea risk Davey? No chance.
Forwards, wingers, full backs can be risked. Centre backs and keepers generally not.
Yes I know there are exceptions but not many.
If Semple was at Oldham, Chesterfield, Crewe he would be 3rd choice. As would Davey I guess.

Only my opinion Rod

If any one is sandy lane tonight keep an eye out on their number 6 for me, Gaz Griffiths, played with him elsewhere. Great player. Great lad and a blade, will be loving it tonight

Adams starting so no nearer sorting his departure out then

Footnote: Morsy starting for Wigan, so that one is dead in the water an all

Did you see anything of him, Bergs? Is McKinlay still manager there?

No, didn't see either of the five games he played. Read that he got an injury just after arriving, and I think Stabæk wanted him to play as a defensive midfielder, which may possibly explain why he struggled.

McKinlay was sacked three weeks ago. It was always going to be difficult for him to replace the excellent Bob Bradley who worked wonders there.
