The Ben Osborn reading a book bit; therefore being the most intelligent was the best insight I’d them all.

I’m not saying he isn’t, as if I had to blindly guess, I’d suspect he’d be up there (based on how people come across in interviews), but it’s a funny marker of how most footballers perceive the world.

I think the other ‘brainy’ ones would be - Moore, Egan, JOC and Norwood.

Graeme Le Saux was regularly called out as being gay (most famously, the Robbie Folwer incident) because he preferred reading broadsheets to tabloids.

Funny old world.

JOC is doing a sports science / sports psychology degree or similar. Very switched on guy.

Same. Shame his brain isn't in the body of one of these two lads really. You feel he'd apply himself more.

Anyway, they seem a pair of daftys to me. Likeable. But maybe lacking the maturity to have the necessary drive to make the most out of their talents. Or, I'm just reading too much into it & being a cynical twat.

Yeah cause Robinson and Mcburnie both dont apply there-self ??

Thats why there playing in the prem at 23/24.

Just cause they talk like a chav doesn't make them a chav

When I hear McBurnie speak to the media I’m usually quite surprised by how well he speaks (assuming you can look past the accent/language). Always comes across fairly well to me.

I see Sheffield United is ignoring the UN emergency declaration that the world is running out of its stocks of the word "Like".

Young people have always been pulled up for how they talk. I used to be pulled up for saying 'oreyt' and now you can buy a mug with it on in Weston Park Museum. Language has been changing throughout human history. The first cave men weren't issued with a dictionary featuring 'all the words and how to say them'.

Likewise young people have always liked music/culture that older people don't understand. That's why everywhere you go cars aren't blasting out Greensleeves or Rod Stewart.

The gymnastics that some people do to pin the downfall of this country on the average young person for fairly innocuous things is, ironically enough, probably why the country is indeed now fucked.

Brb, need a quick Google...

Nope, never heard of 'em.

For shame, man. Mind you, the reason you haven't heard of George Raft might be because he turned down nearly every starring role Humphrey Bogart ever had, the massive idiot.

On the language thing, too much is made on the supposed negative impact of rap, grime etc. It's certainly possible to listen to a lot of rap, as I do, without adopting new speech patterns.
