Be a nice thought that would be.Sharp to come on and get the points.
Possibly yeah. Got to try something different in my view - keep doing the same thing and we’ll keep getting narrow losses. I still see the usual overload triangles with the full back, wide centre mid, and number 10 - instead of the wide centre back. The only problem with this is it could make us very narrow on the pitch.
As he usually does when given a chance. It gives us some hope when he is on ,he is the only Blade that knows where the net is even though he is 53.ha haSharp to come on and get the points.
i like the idea of 1 striker with 2 supporting forwards just think the 2 up front is too predictablePossibly yeah. Keep the fullbacks wide, defence protected by the same flat 3 midfield, McGoldrick in a free role, with pace up front to run channels.
Or play a central striker and two wider forwards as others have suggested.
We’re completely wasting a position by trying and failing to find a JOC replacement.
agree we cant keep playing mcgoldrick and mcburnie 2 players with no pace one can play but it has to be behind brewster burke or mousset other alternative is put goldie in the number 10 spot and play 2 others up front with berge and fleck as the midfield 2 tomorrow at the hawthorns would be a good time to try it

disagree get a body out of the back 5 and play an extra midfielder or forward our overlapping centre backs ... well they dont overlap anymore so whats the point we need a more positive attacking set up if were to get out of thisChanging the formation relies a lot on being able to pass a ball through midfield, but we could just do that in a 3-5-2 as this formation hasn't always relied on crosses and long balls. The style of play is the biggest problem, keep playing the same way and a switch to a back 4 just kills off attacking play from the defenders and won't fix the awful play through the middle.
What I'd like is a flexible formation, Osborn at wing back with Stevens or Robinson inside gives the option of the normal formation or slipping across to a back 4 with Osborn in midfield. With Ampadu at centre back and Stevens at wing back you can push Ampadu or Basham into midfield (or start with a four and do the opposite to resume the usual shape). Usually when we change tactics mid-game it uses a sub and takes Basham off, but there's flexibility to change shape depending on how the game is going if we use the right players.
However they line up we need to stop giving the ball away constantly and just play some football.
