I cannot for the life of me see why we need Doyle to patrol in front of the back four when we play at home?
Five in midfield with one up front and a flat back four is how we usually set up, this provides us with a numerical advantage in midfield with Doyle sitting and the other two central midfield players given a license to get forward to support our lone striker, big problem is that they never do.
We therefore end up with three midfield players passing the bloody thing sideways, get rid of Doyle and let the back four defend the five in midfield create and support the loan striker who should be making runs to create space. If anyone should be sitting in front of the back four whilst at home it should be Baxter.
See easy this management lark!
But seriously doyle is wasted at home as his main asset is breaking up play, well many a time the opposing team never have the ball
