Burnleys 3-0 win at palace widens the margin to 14 points. We needed wins before today now they are vital to cling on

It doesn't really change anything in terms of staying up. The target is still the same, to win as many as possible and catch 17th place (which probably won't be Burnley). It would be a massive boost to see the gap closing though, which it isn't. Since our improvement in form, it's actually got bigger!!

Need a run of 4 or 5 wins to give it a go
I'm not religious but have started praying

To survive we would need to to on a top six run of form and even then would need one of Brighton or Newcastle to collapse in form (10pts from 15 games will see both safe) It is not going to happen our objective now is to get as high up the table as possible and have a right go at the FA cup both would give the whole club a boost for next season in the Championship.

I think we'll go down fighting and probably look much more like last seasons team. We won't disgrace ourselves. The mountain to climb is huge though, thanks to early season form.

I do worry that relegation will see the team break up and that it might take more than a season to come back up. Hope not though.

can I ask why the team will break up

Why would you even worry about it? We’re down mate.

Target from now to the end of the season is to restore some pride.
No we arent . We need to be good over 15 gsmes. Something weve managsd under Wilder. It looks impossible it's probably highly unlikely . But still can be done
Until it's not possible we give it a go

Because they all have to take pay cuts on relegation.

If a Premier League team wants any of them, they'll probably get them
The vast majority of our players have no chance of a PL offer. We still need to change the team though because we need more pace and quality to mount a promotion challenge.

Burnley, Brighton and Newcastle are already handing out the big cigars. It makes me so bloody angry that us and the other two muppets clubs at the bottom, have made it so easy for this trio of crap teams.

That’s us okay then

No one came in for any of them after finishing 9th, certainly won’t be beating a track to BDTBL to buy em after getting relegated

JoC won’t have proved his fitness and he’s recaptured the form
Berge may go abroad, but he may see a year in champ as best bet to getting another crack at EPL
If anyone wants Rammers after 2 relegations in 2 seasons I’ll book em a D TaxI misen
Egan is only 1 I would be worried about loosing

Any others go not bothered really

In the covid financial climate and their current form I don’t think we’ve got a lad who would command over £10m, and most would be under £5m right now

They are all short of the 38 points mark
None of them are truly safe
If we were where newcastle are our fans would guarantee we could still get relegated

Works both ways

That's your opinion pal, I don't share it.

I think based on last season Fleck will have plenty in for him. Lundstram gone anyway, Berg has shown flashes of talent so he's probably gone. So that's a midfield rebuild straight off of the bat.

Besides. Brexit and new Home Office rules means it's harder to sign foreign players. So expect to see British players in high demand

Who is going to catch them? Realistically another 2 or 3 wins and they stay up

Newcastle on 25 points will not be safe with 2 wins 31 is highly unlikekely to see them safe
Some of our fans insisted we weren't safe when we had 42 points with 10 to play

Any of the 3 can with a good run

We've won 6 of our last 9
Do that in the prem and it puts us on 29 points with 6 to go

2 wins against league 1 opposition and a championship reserve side that Watford just dicked 6 0... None of the bottom 3 have a good run in them... If we get to 30 points it's a miracle

Last time I looked Bristols - City (who had a stronger team out today and lost 6-0 today) & Rovers and Plymouth weren't in the Prem.

Also sadly we dont have any of the other 4 worst 3 at home - played them all.

We are not getting 29 points I believe by the end of the season...let alone with 6 to go!

We all love to cling in to hope but these threads are a waste of time for me.

Its fantasy stuff expecting us to go from 3 wins from 23 to to 9 wins from the final 15. It's not happening.

Outside of City probably no club wins that many games out of the games they have left. We are going to have to finish 2nd or 3rd on the form guide AND still hope one of those 3 above us don't win 2 or 3 games which at current rate they will do and are doing.

No chance now tbh, only a Newcastle collapse would help the bottom 3

They might need 2 wins tops. I even think one and a draw will be enough.

29 pts

That needs Fulham to get enough 15 from 16 games. They have currently got 15 from 22.

West ham did it as we know to our cost

But our forms improving
Just saw spurs dicked by a city side who only just scraped a 1-0 against us
That's our task . Keep improving
Keep believing

Don't know why people keep putting themselves through this.
It's over, forget about it. We aren't a Premier League club, we don't deserve a place in it, and we never will deserve a place in it.
It's a miracle that we got there, just like last time...........and the time before that actually as well.

But prolonged periods of stay...........Not a chance,
Prolonged and regular periods of stay is ok for proper clubs like Southampton, Brighton, West Brom, Burnley, Fulham, Bournemouth, Watford, Crystal Palace.

But not us

The task is, and has been for some time, not to go down with a whimper.

So far, tick.

But going down we most certainly are, and for all the reasons I have previously stated.

ALWAYS UTB.
