Fair enough on that.

I just found it puzzling why he’d sign him and hardly play him. The idea of a loan signing is to fill gaps and hopefully improve the team. Not to have them spend their Saturday afternoon with their lass looking round Meadowhall
Completely get your point mate. Some of the decisions Wilder made (certainly towards the 2nd part of last season) were tad baffling at times. However, when appraising the contribution Wilder has made to our football club it should, in my view at least, be taken over the whole period of his time as manager. I think sly digs are very disrespectful to a bloke who has done so much for us overall. His record against the pigs (W3 D3) should make him a legend in itself :p

Even some of the greatest managers of the past, like Cloughie and Fergie (and no way am I putting Wilder in their class by the way) made some, to we mere fans at least, baffling decisions. But overall their achievements speak for themselves!

Wasn't it about £2.5M the other day?

That was probably the opening bid.

It says 7/8 million total package which will include all add on’s and promotion bonuses etc.

Likely only to be half of that upfront

Edit now says up to £10m total… they were asking for that last January so doesn’t seem that far fetched I suppose. Might be 5 upfront and 5 if we go up

Sky reported that, but it was odd as Millwall have rejected higher offers than that from Italy in the last few weeks (offers nearer £4m).

My guess would be that we've agreed a guaranteed fee of circa £5-6m and a series of add/sell-ons could take it to £10m (50 apps, promotion, etc.).

Terrific signing if we get it over the line.

5m up front and 5m if we keep 5 clean sheets this season.

(Just joking btw #BackRuben)

Guessing that's a £4m or 5m guaranteed fee, plus possible promotion add ons etc.

Edit: Plus winning Champs League to get to £10m.

If we could get winning a champions league into the deal then they are probably stupid enough to sell him to us for £20

All hail Italian Richard Cadette.

This is the type of signing we all said we needed after Bristol. A proven quality centre back for now, not 3 years time. We also got a centre back for the future, and we’re potentially getting a steady been there and done that behind the scenes to come in when needed.

Pull this off and I’ll say bravo to COH for sorting it out.

Was it Burnley that put in a add on of "if they got relegated from the Championship" with a loan player?
Add ons could be anything.
£10m could be if he gets 20 goals and an England call up.
