IndeedApart from the couple of games against the Blades (which he was outstanding) is this chap all that?
And if so, for 5m why arent we doing more than watching, monitoring, weighing up on so on......
Arriving at the ground about lunchtime, leaving roughly after 5pmOver the weekend? Saturday maybe![]()
Indeed
Where does all ‘our enthusiasm/ excitement about him emanate from (beyond those 2 games)
If the mooted £5m is accurate / feasible why hasn’t he been signed / linked with other clubs apparently / allegedly keen to spend (far) more :- Wrexham Cov Brum (or even Brentford/ Burnley who seemingly ‘prefer’ Thomas @ x4 the cost when factoring in the (Prem) ‘release’ price)![]()
Is he genuinely uncomfortable in position or does he play for a club that doesn't play it out from the back?Unfortunately, the extent to player scouting & assessment undertaken by a sizeable proportion of the club's fanbase (including on this very forum) is limited to (i) players that have previously played for Utd (see recent clamour for the return of Brooks, Doyle etc.) and / or (ii) anyone that has had a half-decent game against Utd at Bramall Lane (see Khadra, Jake Cooper, Ryan Woods etc.).
Tanganga falls firmly into the latter category with many feeling he is the second coming, despite his obvious limitations (lack of height, lack of ball playing ability, uncomfortable in possession etc.), which are likely to be amongst the reasons why no Prem or other Champ club has concluded that he is of the required quality and worth the reported £2m / £5m asking price.
I think there's a reason he's in the Championship. But, that's where we are as well, currently, with a fairly desperate need for some decent Championship defenders. Is he genuinely uncomfortable in position or does he play for a club that doesn't play it out from the back?
Without trying to tread on Roy's toes (second time in a week, poor lad), the Millwall board seemed to have this to say about him.I think there's a reason he's in the Championship. But, that's where we are as well, currently, with a fairly desperate need for some decent Championship defenders.
Who knows if this is a real link link. Does feel realistic and worthwhile though.
Wouldn’t use this as a marker mate, won’t happenCannon comes on and scores

Damned if we do damned if we dont? Could say that about any player we bring in.Indeed

I've never seen a better CB for us, passing, vision, composure and touch have been a level above anyone else in my time.Sounds like the Millwall fans are happy with him and seem to say he's better on the ball than our fans seem to have picked up.
Best signing of the summer for me would be Tanga signing a 4 year deal.
Best centre back we've had in a while.
He’s passing is unreal if you pay attention
On Tango, he’s a different level, I reckon he could play anywhere on the pitch and do a decent job.
Although I want Tanga to stay, I get the feeling he may be off during the summer. I think he is the best footballing defender we've had for a long time.
He can defiantly pick out a pass or two!!

Window closes in 10 days, we are desperate, the only criteria should be, is he better than Robinson and it’s a yes from me !!
I guess that’s the sort of thing that gets negotiated isn’t it.You have to wonder with his Premier League release clause would he even accept a contract here without a similar clause?
Sorry Roy... Most of us assumed AI would be the end of the View From, but looks like you've got a war with rebel factions of men, before you go to war with Skynet.
"Sir, a 2nd poster has done a View From"
What I'm not sure about is he doesn't have the stature of a typical championship CB. I think hed work well with a big dominant CB but we need one of those too!Indeed,
I didn’t notice him in the 0-1 in April & was going to ‘finesse’ (?!?!?) that observation/ opinion with a suggestion that Mi’wawls game plan that day wouldn’t afford any realistic insight given their 9 behind the ball approach.
Turns out his anonymity was compounded by the fact he didn’t even play in said fixture !!!!!
He did appear decent ‘down there’ in December albeit against a (Wilderball mkII) approach.
The (mostly) ‘1 up top’ was Brewster for an hour & then Moore for ‘closing’ 40 minutes![]()
