Tanganga

I've not been particularly keen on Tanganga and I'm still not. But he's fast and can tackle. He can't pass particularly well, but I'm not sure who the CBs are that we can afford and tempt here that are the full package - i.e. fast, good defenders AND confident ball players.

The prices being rumoured for Tanganga imply he might be realistic and he could do some of the job required to a good Championship standard.

Without wanting to sound overly negative
Why would he swap Millwall for us
They are a good bet for play offs and have made ambitious signings

We are a bit of a mess as things stand

If we aren't a more attractive proposition than Millwall then we should pack it all in.

I'm not sure on Tanganga but he does cover two positions which makes him worth considering. Not a brilliant footballer but a good athlete.

Pigs fans think they are on a par with Spurs, Man City & Newcastle, while ours think we are no better than Millwall.

It’s hard to believe we’re from the same city.
They spent 5 million on one player
How much have we spent this summer
They won away at highly fancied Norwich
We got smashed at home to Bristol City

We finished 3rd on 92 points, they didn’t make the playoffs.

We are still 4th favourites for promotion after yesterday’s results, while they are 12th favourites. So even by independent adjudicators we are the better prospect.

Which shows why this will be the most open championship in years mate .
Back to tanganga , I'm honestly not sure about this lad , I know in the past I've been quite happy with signing the lad but its his passing stats that's putting me off now .

His passing was dreadful yesterday and his defending wasn't much better
He is not as big as I thought either
Doesn't really matter be cause he won't be coming anyway
Don't think we are interested and I dont think he would leave or Millwall would key him for another championship club

Problem is if we lose a few this month some players are going to hesitate signing for us.

We’ll have two defeats by next weekend’s game because even when we’re good we make a bollocks of the league cup!

I can’t believe anyone who witnessed yesterday would turn down someone who is fast and can tackle

Sounds like just the player for this suicidal high line to me.

Quite frankly, id take United signing my 80 odd year old, old man to play at centre half. He wouldn't do any worse than the keystone cops yesterday, and he would be aware of the things like not letting a forward stand in oceans of space by himself in our penalty area. He would also play like he cared. I still can't get my head round what I actually saw yesterday. It was embarrassing.

No one would turn him down but he won't be coming
Would cost too much to prise him away

Ideally you want them to be good on the ball as well though, otherwise they'll too often be passing it to opposition strikers and wingers for pretty easy goals.
