Player Suggestion Tammy Abraham

I understand that. What puzzles me is your suggestion that he might sign for Bristol City.
It's not that puzzling really...

He played for them this season. He's been a great success and the focal point of their team. Chelsea and Abraham might well see it as a good option to continue his development in a set up which he is familar with and is the main man.

I don't think he'll go back to Bristol City myself but it's not hard to see why that might be a more favourable option to him and Chelsea than us.

I didn't say he would sign for Bristol City, you must be confusing me with someone else!

He has said he would be open to going back to Bristol City, but personally I can't see it. Apparently he is going to sign a £50k a week contract with Chelsea and no doubt when he is loaned out the club will be expected to cover all his wages and possibly a loan fee, which will price out City amongst other clubs.

What we need is to sign the next Tammy Abraham on loan or even permanently. i.e. a young player who hasn't yet scored 26 Championship goals but will do so next season. Over to your Paul Mitchell and the scouting team

You didn't! I was! Sorry.

I'm simply amused by the throwaway 'like Brighton or Burnley' when there is absolutely no reason to think he's going to either.
Was obviously just meant as a bottom half premier league team. Anyone who thinks we've got a chance of signing him are simply deluded

Based down south I thought the 'protagonists' on this thread might be interested in an Evening Standard article last night on the lad.

It effectively said Chelsea are prepared to double his wages to £50k per week as Arsenal look at signing him.

I think that puts this one to bed.

Why on earth is an academy player, who's not played above Championship being paid £25k a week, which equals £1 million plus a year. No wonder most of them never make it. It's like winning the lottery before you're twenty, where's the motivation once you've got a million in bank to graft hard and put in the effort.

Fellas.....can I just let you all know we have just stormed the league and done it with style. We have raised many eyebrows with our style of football, many of those from the premier league.

Fact is...he isn't going to get in the Chelsea side. He's young. He needs games.
The championship will be an ideal place for him, and a team pushing to go places would be the choice of his club, and most clubs up there with players like him.

Don't underestimate the pulling power of our club at this time....and certainly don't underestimate the ability of our manager to sell this club to anyone.
Not saying we have a great chance....but I will say we stand as good a chance as anyone in the championship provided the money is right.

He'll be a Premier League player next season. If not involved at Chelsea I expect him to be loaned by someone like Bournemouth, Watford, Brighton, Stoke, West Brom etc. Maybe even a more established team like Southampton. If we could get him it would be an incredible signing but it's just not going to happen. He's proven himself at this level. it's time for him to prove himself in the Prem.

It's pretty common.

All the top youngsters and potential stars of the game have been hoovered up by the top 6.
Paid £20K a week and then just kept in their reserves and/ or loaned out.

This is one of the reasons cited why the England international team will get worse over the years.
Most of the cream in youth football hardly play top level football and are made millionaires before they've achieved anything. It's madness but those clubs can easily afford to gamble millions.

Absolute rubbish everyone knows the reason England are rubbish is because we play too many games, we need a winter break of at least a month and only then will we be good again.

Alternatively. let's take some pride in our club, stop the cap-doffing and rid ourselves of the Bladey Inferiority Complex.

Whilst I generally agree with you when you make this point, there really is no chance on this one. He will be a Prem player next season one way or another.

Would love Tammy Abraham at the lane next season but he will probably get a loan move in the Premier League, given how well he did in the Championship last season.

"Him?" So it's a bloke then? A bloke named "Tammy" No thanks! We don't need any blokes with girls names in our team. I've still not got over us signing "Vivian" Busby.

Relax, the non Abraham part of his name is really Kevin Oghenetega Tamaraebi Bakumo

The big rumour in the Kop this evening was Tammy Abraham coming in on loan. Waghorn is going to Boro and Abraham is our plan B. I don't claim to be ITK and have no "sauce" other than what some bloke told me in the bogs.

Would be a decent signing BUT I expect other clubs to be in for him as well.

No chance of landing him. He will have loads of offers and I expect the bottom few PL teams would be willing suitors.

Tammy Abraham, sounds like a Z list porn star. However, I've heard the Chelsea footballer by the same name is quite good. Which one are we interested in ?

Been reported this morning that he’s staying at Chelsea to prove his worth.
