I realise the season isn't over and the championship if nothing else gives no end of twist and turns.
It was important not just to keep the pressure on that we won today. We need to go into the playoffs without a miss out hangover.
I've been thinking the past week about how disappointed I have been to see us chuck the opportunity away to essentially be nearly up with those 3 previous games. We could be sat on 95 points right now.
And whilst I still am. In a way do we also have to hand it to Leeds and Burnley?
They've both been relentless. Even if we win all 3 remaining games. Assuming Burnley or Leeds dont slip up again we will finish 3rd on 95 pts. Which would be mad.
But isn't it interesting.
I'd put money on us having the 3rd highest wage bill after Leeds and Burnley. Which just shows you how for the most part that's what helps get you into high league positions in any division.
But for now we just need to take each game as it comes still. In a way Monday could be fascinating.
Id expect Burnley to be well up for it and nervous in equal measures. However we need to win so I feel this could end up playing into their hands sadly.
Course win and it's nearly game on. We would still need them to lose again. QPR away and Millwall at home could be stumblers but even today they rode some luck. Watford nearly going 2-0 up and yet in the end they end up winning.
Playoffs we know how this ends for us.... Or do we? We would be facing sides where we've beat them at some point this season. Mind you we've had that in prior campaign's
