After the dust of last night has settled, and the realisation that the jewels of this squad may have to be sold to aid in balancing the books next year if the ownership of the club remains as is, does anyone actually know at what stage through negotiations etc the 2 parties are at, and what the chances of it actually happening?

My gut feeling is things are progressing slow and steady.

The asking price would be different if we had gone up. Now we haven't achieved promotion any interested parties will want to pay less than if we had been promoted. So it makes sense that it has gone quiet. Now there is certainty about what is being sold/bought and assuming there are interested parties negotiations will begin.

If this yank was interested in us in January staying in championship is no big surprise so why pull out now we were miles off the play offs at that point.

The club don’t appear to have made any statement presumably because the bid will depend on acceptance by the EFL and also we didn’t know what league we’d be in.

The latter now resolved, the EFL are possibly still doing their checks…

Of course all this is dependent on whether the EFL source was legitimate…

If by any chance it went to EFL the check would surely have been completed by now. So we wait to see what transpires next.
With the prince acknowledging a bid was on the table if nothing happens soon its dead.

I just hope, whether the takeover is a good thing or not, that Hecky knows his budget. We can't have a repeat of the summer where Wilder was in the dark over his budget/who was making decisions, which was the pre-season before we got promoted ironically! So here's hoping that we'll be able to sign the players Hekcy and when he wants them, only time will tell of course.

I'm not surprised it's gone quiet until the playoffs were decided, the value of the club will be quite different dependent on prem or Champ status.
If it's going to happen, we should start seeing some movement.
