Always thought he was a decent player when I've seen him. He is one of those players that oppo hate as he falls over in a stiff breeze and somehow gets a foul for it.

His team where relegated from the championship.

There is a belief, correctly in my view that we should be going for promotion this year, the wingers in this system are critical to have any chance, there has been a lot made about the defence so far but we have scored 1 goal in three games, the attack has been woeful.

In my opinion

RW Brooks - Not good enough
RW Ukaki - Not good enough
LW Barry - Jury is still out

That’s all we have, Chong will be a decent back up but it’s not good enough to achieve what we should be aiming for
Personally I don't see Brooks as a winger, more of a cantre/wide midfield area. So basically where Hamer or O'Hare are playing now.

Brooks just doesn't have dribbling or consistent good crossing in his skillet but he drives well with the ball and he can go box to box.

Totally agree, I think he will be a decent player but I don’t believe he is a winger.

Personally I would like to see him on loan getting games week in week out to see what happens but it’s unlikely with our current squad

Had we just been double relegated I think we’d find it very difficult to speak any sort of positivity on any player involved in that. Chong definitely has ability and is probably a player that needs a move to show he is still a good championship player. Had a solid season with Birmingham and was decent for a period at Luton in the PL, not a bad signing, only issue is I think we needed higher level players to come in and compete for those wide positions. I’m not sure Redmond or Chong will provide strong enough competition to Barry or Brooks.

I think this certainly plays a part.

I got so I could barely stand players I loved after the last premier league season. If it was followed up with another relegation…

Don’t hate the deal if he’s cheap. He seems versatile

Are people writing him off or are people raising their concerns that he was shit for a team relegated last season and did nothing at a higher level? If he's cheap, it's not the worst signing, but hardly one for a team who claims to want to be challenging at the top end of the table.

There's a difference between having an opinion on a forum and how you support your team at a game.
He's right though
It's something I've thought about a lot lately
Being a blade used to be something I was proud to say
Was who i am and it didn't matter how shit the team were ,I supported my club and my team no matter what and there was a real camaraderie and fighting spirit even though the club was going through and had been through much tougher times than it is now

Maybe it's social media or the general softening of society but fuck me we are a bunch of entitled moaning wet wipes
Every WhatsApp group ,forum ,vlog, podcast ( except the one we've just lost ) is just pathetic

When did we get like this. ?

I suspect like most things in life the people you dislike always existed it's just the internet has given them a bigger voice. I certainly remember being in pubs with fans who'd put many on here to shame (myself included!) with their negative outlook

Many reasons - one of the main contributory factors are listed in your post

Is this him?

I would love to know and am speculating it is him.

However, modern football and social media is an infuriating concept for miseries like myself, we now as a club (and many others) have to spend days drawing up promo videos rather than just seeing a player in the middle of the pitch holding aloft a shirt.

The club has clearly heard Roygbiv has more time on his hands post bladespod and is trying to give him something to do to fill his time very considerate imo.
