For me, this is a no brainer, A game we have to win against a side that defends well but struggles to score. They will be, probably, more nervous than us as it is set up for a massive promotion party and losing would pile pressure on them. Us? playoffs are our fate unless we do something extraordinary and I’m resigned to that.
Same starting XI as yesterday but drop Brewster in favour of O’Hare as he is much more effective in the press, generally, breaking up play and pressuring defenders. Fly at them like rabid dogs from the off and take the game to them at 100 mph.
If we sit back and play the turgid slow slow passing across the back line that we’ve seen since Coventry we’ll have no chance. Get peck higher up the pitch, snapping into tackles and let Souza marshall the deep midfield.
Sadly, I fear Crissah will not have the courage to take the chance and revert tp type, hoping Hamer can win it 1-0 with a free kick. Cue Robinson back in, Brewster starts and, when Campbell tires, Moore is on for the route one approach as we sit deep. I hope I’m wrong, but doubt it.

Last paragraph bang on

Diaz in for Rak-Sakyi and O'Hare for Brewster, would be my changes, just go and attack them from the off, no bigging up Burnley pre match, everyone knows how good they are and it can't help our players hearing the manager doing this before every game. I think Burnley are heatable we've nothing to lose and everything to gain, go for ir!

We will need to have the right balance because Burnley also know we need to win. So they may think let's just get them on the counter. And I think it works well for them sadly.

But Burnley have to lose sometime. Even if it's not this season they will lose again of course.

To be honest looking at the coverage of their game yesterday they were very fortunate not to go 2-0 down just before they equalised.

And after Watford had a chance to go 2-1 up. Sadly after Burnley went 2-1 up Watford self destructed and went down to 9 men.

We could do with something like Trafford wiping out one of ours in the first half so they concede a pen and go down to 10 men. Also means Trafford misses next 3.

But of course that's just fantasy.

It will be the same tactics we always play.
Slow build up with alot of passing backwards and sideways and rubbish corners.
Wilder will then swap the strikers around on the 65min but by that time we will be losing 2-0.
Monday is just going to be Party time for Burnley.

Despite being above them most of the season, Monday will show that they are really a far better and well coached side than United. 3/4-0 hopefully another wilder meltdown to seal his fate.
Just hope somebody gets him down the tunnel at full time, we don't want fine number 4 or would it be 5.
At this rate we will be paying more in fines than Rohls release clause.

You always seem to come across very negatively about the Blades and particularly Wilder,

Genuinely, do you actually support SUFC ?

Burnley know we are going to have to go there and win are probably the best side at exploiting this in the division.
Personally I want to see us take the shackles off as we crate very little in the last third .
What do I think we’ll do .. as others have said above , none creative possession with hope of nicking one ..and when we go 1-0 down a host of desperate substitutions are the 70 minute mark .
We really should be a lot better offensively with attacking talent in our squad , other than Leeds I think just about all the managers would beg for squad with that attacking talent in it .. but it’s been woefully under utilised with some of our tactics …I’m beginning to think CW is morphing into Blackwell !

Diaz can’t play on the right he historically has played central and on the left and he’s not very good looks so unfit Rak - Sakyi for me he’s more positive to run at them yes it doesn’t work all the time but he’s a player that draws defenders to him creating spaces for others jogging behind

I'd want O'Hare to start.
I'm not fussed as to who starts out of Moore and Campbell, I can actually see a convincing argument for Campbell coming on at the hour mark.
Right back is the question mark for me, I'd like to use Seriki as an impact sub for this one.
BBD, McCallum also to come on as needed.

We simply can’t allow them to settle into their preferred tempo by letting them have possession and time to pass the ball around
This is what will happen, they are the best coached team, the best possession based team, the best pressing team in the Championship.
We are riddled with mistakes especially in unforced errors in possession, they will probably have 70 per cent and press us into our own penalty area.
Watford actually were decent for once yesterday, but they have a lot more pace in their team than we do.
Orders will no doubt be to stay in the game as long as possible and nick something, and we will have to probably hit it longer than normal to beat their press,as we will be unsuccessful trying to play through it.

What you say makes sense but equally I could see us setting up to attack and getting beat 4 or 5 nil which would hurt wilder's pride.

I think wilder will set us up to play for a draw or narrow defeat. I think secretly he'd take a nil nil or a 1 nil loss now if you offered it him

I wonder if any manager in the Championship has considered the tactical plan of "snapping into tackles" and "taking the game to them at 100mph"? I ask because no team has won at Burnley all season.

I believe Trafford is the weak link. Defo
Get the ball wide and bombard the box. Play either Cannon and Campbell and bring Moore on later.
It's evident from previous Burnley games, they don't like crosses and Trafford doesn't like the physicality. Decent shot stopper

There’s no way whatsoever our setup changes. 4231 as ever. Just some personnel tweaks.

Our issues are down to an inability to assert ourselves on teams that give us no chances in transition. I don’t think we solve that over the weekend.

We’ll need a moment of brilliance and a defensive master class. And/or good fortune.

I’d disagree re: Moore yesterday actually, thought he did well.

I’ll have a look back at game this morning.

Apart from robbing their dithering defender, with clear water between him and goal to run at their keeper and put him on his arse, he still managed to fluff a crappy shot against the defender that caught him up. BBD saved his blushes, but not even he could cover up his shocking ball control and gifting the oppo possesion way too many times.
Other than that, he had a stormer.

Their defender got a good block in after robbing the other lad on halfway ( he was never going to break away from defenders over that distance), lucky it fell to BBD, but BBD made his own ‘luck’ by busting a gut to get up there.

I’ll have a look at his ‘shocking ball control’ as I thought he did well when he came in.

Not saying BBD was lucky CB, you're spot on noting he did would good players do in anticipating and getting there.
I was saying Moore was lucky that BBD did what he did to get there to save his blushes.
It was a good block by their defender, but he should never had been given the chance to get the block in.
I'll be honest, I never rated KM and was disappointed when we signed him.
Maybe I'm being a little unkind. Let me know after you watch it back if you can please. I'm genuinely interested to know how he played from a less-biased perspective 👍
