But the police obviously need to wise up if they've really let coachloads of scroats roam unopposed upon arrival

I was in the Sheaf beer garden when the coaches pass by with no police escort,then the coach second from the back stopped outside the sheaf and then it all kicked off. The coach got its windows smashed and bottles and glasses thrown everywhere. It’s a pub where families go with their kids, it’s if they knew where they were going to stop for trouble. The thing is it was a good 10min before any police came. The driver should be arrested
 
This is the time they wouldn’t answer any phone calls from the bbc, nor would they tell them where they were. So instead of speaking to like minded hooligans and meeting they decided to ignore them and turn up behind the Kop with just normal fans to face. Wednesday all over.

I fear SYP will use today as an excuse to move any future Saturday kick offs with a high away fan turn out to a 12pm kick off.

Yeah me too.

They handily mobbed up on John Street looking angry, forcing me to walk up to Hill Street. Near Go Outdoors I first encountered a few Brum… then, the next two roads, some tactical genius had decided to have about 6 coppers and a couple of horses in what I assumed was a poor and stupidly located attempt to hold a few groups half looking for bother near the mini buses.

Only they didn’t hold them, they let them do whatever they wanted and wade into Blades, mixture of families and the odd lad.

All the while, SYP pushing and shoving Blades (including myself who was already walking at a decent pace on the only route they’d allow me to), shouting for us to “move on”. Got shoved and got nudged by a horse, they decided to move into a group of Blades.

A few “lads” tried to get in between the advancing at will Brum, who were met by SYP blockages and shoving, with horse usage… Brum & SYP v Blades if you will. No sign of all the numbers they had pointlessly behind a blockade on John Street.

Half hoping for an early morning call to discuss my thoughts if they got my increasingly industrial language laden feedback on bodycam.
 
I got a punch on the way in, on the side road opposite the hotel about 10 mins before kick off. Clever lad just ran up from behind and swiped me in the side of my jaw. Very brave of him.
The only actual brave lad was my mate who followed him from a distance until bramall lane where the police were and pointed him out so got arrested at least, while chanting zulu and all of his mates acting outraged.

SYP are without the slightest doubt the most ineffectual bunch of idiots to be allowed to swan around pretending to uphold the law. They are a disgusting joke and are in no way whatsoever fit for purpose. If it were possible they should be defunded and abolished and replaced by a law enforcement agency from outside the area.
