What? I’d not heard that. There was a bit of commotion going on as I was walking past pretty much bang on kick off and a few angry blades but I’d not heard what happened

The story goes that Birmingham were picking off a few latecomers near the Railway around kickoff time. Landlady (Carol) comes out of pub to check her car is ok on Hill St and a Brummie whacks her in the mouth. It gets put on Facebook and later another Brummie comes on FB saying the bloke that did it was apparently dealt with by his own fans. I wasn't there but it was all on FB after the match.

Bellends at it again today. Maybe biased of my previous dealings but I really don't like them.

Letting Blackpool fans walking down singing songs about United then going for United fans reacting. Also heard one copper said "I wish that kid got smacked the bellend"

Utter bullies and grasses.
 
They were outrageously bad today. Kid coming out of away end with a seat in his hand !! A few scuffles break out but they were more intent on getting easy targets than sorting out the idiots. Before the roundabout more fighting breaks out. I had the audacity to tell one of our finest to do their job and sort it and the response was go away or I will arrest you. Eventually and I mean eventually a few came along. Shockingly bad policing and no interest in doing the job they are paid to do. Had some sympathy with them before today but no more.

I don’t normally see any of the issues after the game as I usually walk directly away from town but today I had to go into town for something. The bits I saw, the police seemed to handle very well. They were marching a load of Blackpool supporters down St Mary’s road (presumably towards the station) and a few of them started kicking off. The Police were straight into them, penning them in with the horses until back up arrived. There was also a few bits going off towards the Lord Nelson which they were quick to get on top of.

Yep. That was after they let run amuck for 10 minutes and did nothing. They had to intervene but believe me they did not want to.

For the bit that I saw, there definitely wasn’t any sense that the police didn’t want to get involved. They were extremely quick to react as soon as the trouble started.

Which one of my comments was me doubting you? I wasn’t even talking to you, you chose to reply to me.
 
I don’t want to argue with you but please read the comments I made. I explained what happened but twice you suggested that it was not like what I saw. If that was not the case then accept my apologies.
 
I noticed today that the 2 nearest security folk to the away exit were a couple of small female stewards. Police miles away. I presume its a tactic but it looks awfully cowardly. They seem to have zero grip on the situation.
 
SYP are an utter abomination. Fat cowardly useless entities concerned only with easy targets and not remotely interested in dealing with serious crime. I place them on the same level of contempt as I do The pigs. After the Brum debacle I along with many other Blades was made to make a detour because they couldn't be bothered to keep the Zulus back for 10 minutes until locals got clear. I walked back to my car on the street parallel to Bramall Lane to discover had I made that walk 2 minutes later I would probably have been the solo bloke brutally assualted by them on the same spot. SYP. Defund and replace.

I didn’t suggest anything. I said exactly what I saw, as I saw it. You were the one who suggested differently. I don’t think I even read your post before my initial comment.

Shit. Not on any of the Blades FB groups so didn't hear about this. I was about the last to leave the Railway beer yard. I asked Carol if she was going to the match, she said she would love to but was too busy. As I was walking down the Lane I saw a bunch of lads without scarves walking in the opposite direction towards the Railway. They were on the opposite pavement, the other side of a long line of coppers who ignored them. I thought nothing of it at the time.

They will have gone by the Railway with only the landlady and 1-2 staff in there. None of our fans were there at all, everyone had left for the match. Cowardly and twattish to say the least, prowling round the perimiter of the stadium when virtually all our fans are inside or queuing to get in.

You’ll be getting cancelled by the stone island bangers for that opinion....it’s never them, unless their fighting with each other on the kop.....I saw it as you saw it....Not many brain cells on this thread I’m afraid.

Think I would fit right in with the bangers mate. Could be solid entertainment. I don't think that opinion was towards them. Mate, it's crazy at the moment. People are shaking near me and shit. Rushing to tip me off about anything. I always show my respect, probarly too much.

The video that showed the police watching The Sheaf being attacked doesn't back that up.
I'm sure they stepped in on many occasions, but clearly didn't in others.
