Sydie Peck - Not one for the future, one for the present

Absolutely phenomenal performance today and a deserved MOTM award. It reminded me of Arblaster’s debut. He was everywhere, good vision, positioning, tackling. He has every attribute you’d want for a box-to-box/holding midfielder.

I thought this lad might of needed a loan but he should definitely solidify a place on the bench in the Championship this season. When Arblaster gets tired Peck should get minutes. He plays exactly like Arblaster and might end up being Arblaster’s replacement if we have to end up selling him.

We have another very exciting confident youngster on our hands here who loves to play forward and be positive.

Excited to see how he plays in the Championship. UTB

Absolutely unbelievable game. Not one thing wrong. Under pressure he never lost the ball and always found a man. Great progressive passer, fabulous first touch. On that performance he’s ready for the first team.

Agreed, I was amazed how good he looked

Unbelievable performance. I thought we needed another CM, and he will play tougher opponents, but I think he gives us depth in there.

Really impressed by him. Not just some of the passes but he showed a real maturity on the ball. That was the best thing about the young'uns tonight for me. They all had the confidence and ability to take a touch and pass their way out of tight spaces. No panicking or rushing, no hopeful punts, they showed real composure.

That last sentence is not the worst problem we could have. Wilder often speaks about places never being guaranteed in the squad. If this lad was breathing down my neck I'd want to try harder too.
