Surely coming out with shite like that deserves an infraction! It's the biggest room in the house and if you look out of it's window, you can witness the wisdom of geese.
Yep, Billy having a dry spell after being on fire and scoring for fun has got me worried. Scoring in bursts is something you just don't expect from him. Maybe is heart's not in it, or he's fallen out with his teammates? He also seems to have piled weight on his arse since the Shrewsbury game.Thursday is Sharp's last chance to score 18 goals in one game, then he's out...
I bet you're evening sitting there in a SUFC v STFC - 10/12/2016 Half and Half scarf

You might need a fire certificate with that oneI'm pioneering a new "triple scarf", you might be interested in investing in a few?
The shoutbox is embarrassing while a match is on ,I have to stay out of there as it winds me up too much.
Always room for improvement.
And i agree...a 4-0 win, with three goals from midfield, a striker on double figures before Christmas (having missed 3 or 4 pens), last game 35 shots, 19 on target apparently 117 shots in the last 5 games, 38 league goals already this season... We need to be more clinical.
yes.... i'm sure i said i agreed there was room for improvement...16 goals only from our strikers, out of 38, there's still plenty of room for improvement in that area of the team.
Got a couple sat behind me trying to figure out why Coutts kept getting booed when he was playing well, and why Scougle was also getting booed when he was only warming up.I followed the game on shoutbox yesterday. I presumed we were playing shit given some comments then when Billy missed that chance it seemed it was all going to go wrong and I switched my phone off fearing the worst . Put it back on again about 5 minutes later to be greeted by everyone saying "COUTTTTSSSS" so thought he must have won a corner because obviously he wouldn't have scored then was stunned when my mate ran up to me saying "2-0 United, Duffy and Coutts"
Yeh, they put us at the top of the list but Newcastle & Scunthorpe have both scored more than us. Probably some in other leagues in Europe too but I can't be arsed to look. Strange tweet really.Saw a tweet from Bet365 last night which listed the top goal scorers in England (possibly europe too) and we've scored 38 goals already....
Steady on there you will be upsetting sitwell, we should all know we can't improve on what we already haveHopefully he can kick on from yesterday but there's no getting away from the fact that there's room for improvement up top, and imo vast improvement is required with quality of crosses into the box.

With Scunny it is quite simple - all fans have to do is go and lookat their fixtures for Nov/Dec and Jan (and Feb too) - They have some difficult teams to play.
I looked a while ago, and posted that if they were top come the end of January then they would probably win the league. It should be no surprise they are slipping a bit given the fixtures.
It's like any team - you win it because you are best over a full season - how many remember Tranmere or Leyton Orient during the past 5/6 seasons? - One swallow doesn't make a summer.
Their manager is half decent and destined for better things - it's no surprise he is getting the very best out of what they - and dropping very fortunate getting Josh Morris from Bradford when they were managerless........I bet McCall is rueing whoever made that decision. Morris makes the difference for Scunny as Clough does for Bolton - both might not be at their respective clubs come January 31st.

No they're still here. It wouldn't be difficult to trawl back through posts from August and see who they are - but no need as they'll be at it again soon when we next lose a game.I'm guessing some of those are no longer with us...

I would also like to have my cake and eat it but perhaps the reason for the decent spread of goals is because the strikers are not always selfish, which reduces their own chances.
Sharp created one the other day. He could have abandoned all thought of getting in a crossing position and just stayed in the box. It would increase his chances of getting goals. Some of the selfless running also creates space for others to profit.
Yes, he should have scored, but that's strikers, they will miss.
We should be careful what we wish for. We clamoured for more goals so Clarke came in and we didn't win a game. Even if we get Evans in Jan as some would like, who says him and Sharp are comparable? If he does come, prepare for a Sharp or Evans thread by mid-February!
But Duffy,Sharp,Coutts and Fleck could attract bids and EEL be recalled.
