What a surprise, apparently beaten to a player we were apparently after, because apparently the fans said so.

Is it just me who finds it hard to get worked up about not getting a player we are "apparently" after?

I dont think anyone is getting particularly worked up. It just doesnt surprise me that we would (supposedly) lose out on a player to a smaller club. Its simply an observation from my point of view.

I think a lot of fans were hopeful the rumour was true and I would have considered it a decent signing as well, but dont worry - I wont lose sleep. There are better players about.

I think it is just about fair to say Norwich are a smaller club than us but let's remember that they will probably be averaging circa 5k more than us next term - and that's just my guess, not a statement of fact obviously. What is a more certain is that they have had more success than us over the last 30 years and very possibly have a higher total average crowd than us over that same period.
