God's country ...... Rovrum!
Anyone know what happened to them?

Announced by the club a couple of months back we were in negotiations to extend/offer a new contract and then....... ...... ....... ....... .......... ...... zilch!

I would have thought it will depend on which division we're in next season and until that's settled, I can't see any movement on any contract negotiations for the first team players.

I still think that Evans will stay if we get promoted, assuming that he isn't convicted.

I thought all contracts had been put off being renewed til end of season?

It may get sorted but it may not get announced. Wouldn't really do great things for morale if one player gets different treatment from the rest.

Shouldn't have this cluttering up the end of season to be honest. We don't need it so hopefully its either been done already or its left till the season is over one way or another.

Yes, this is when we get the, "We'd like to negotiate a new contract with [insert players name here] but he's on holiday at the moment...." Followed by said player moving to a higher division / promotion rival!

This is the question I asked Andy Giddings on Tuesday night. His answer: "All contract negotiations are happening at the end of the season".
IMO we should make allowances for MacDonald. He is everything our current football philosophy stands for and should be made a priority to build a team around. I'd say the same about Ched but I fear his wages will just be one step too far - a top end championship club will come in and match or probably even raise what he is currently on and we will stand no chance of competing. K Mac are you listening? Sign K Mac up!!!

Signing of the season a Wilson master stroke, hell stay as hes got as much from us , his mojo back , as we have from him and when we go up , why shouldnt he stay

I expect Ched & Mac will the the core of the team from next season. (IF we go up.)

There will be no new contracts for Beattie, Ertl or Monty, so there is no reason why we couldnt afford these two.

Monty has another year of his contract to run. Simmo out of contract thou and I think he will leave. Willo out of contract but I would like him to stay if we go up

even with the extra year i expect him to leave at the end of the season on a free.

Cresswell is out of contact at the end of the season meaning his clause to play in every game will be gone! ;)

Your Cresswell obsession is getting nearly as serious as your Shawcross one Bergo ...... What did you think last week btw ??

Thought tactics and line up was decent, but for some reason our mental approach didn't seem right. Ronnie Moore got his tactics right and they definitely deserved a point. They put a left back in left midfield, which stopped Lowton's forward runs. That, coupled with Hill's poor use of the ball meant we had little support from our full backs and our wide men had to try create alone. Hoskins looked out of position on the right and Quinn had an off day. Doyle was also below average and while Williamson hardly ever wasted possession, our poor movement and lack of rythm meant he couldn't find United players in good positions. It was good to see Collins back and Maguire was my man of the match. The service for our strikers was poor, but still a bit disappointing to see a 40 year old stop them all the time.

I think Wilson saw that lack of movement was a problem, hence putting on the nippy Williams on the left and pushing Hoskins forward, i.e. playing with a very mobile front duo. At the time I thought it was worth trying, but it just seemed to make things worse, so he threw on Beattie and Cresswell to go more direct again. But nothing seemed to work that day and it was a disappointing performance.

Thankfully the players got their act together against Notts County, and with McDonald back we look so much stronger.
