I don't like losing, scoring goals last night would have given our strikers lots of confidence. However, if i was playing last night in the cup vs Sunderland knowing we had Liverpool at home on saturday, id be going through the motions to ensure i didn't get injured. Osborn, Jags, L Freeman, Mousset, Robinson, McBurnie, Besic and Morrison have all been on the bench, made appearances and contributed this season. For some of them this is one of their biggest games they will have played in...ever. Im glad we are out of the cup, injury free so we can focus on the league. Only benefit it provided was getting game time into the legs of certain players, which would have happened with a behind closed door game anyways. Wilder is 100% looking at the bigger picture and i also think the players are as well.

Looking forward to watching world class players playing against us at the weekend and seeing how we perform. 0 expectation, lots of hope!

Ive seen us play Liverpool 7 times and we’ve only lost once, back in 1990.

In fact during the last 11 matches played at Bramall Lane the record is
Blades 6 wins
Liverpool 1 win
Drawn 4 matches.

So you could say we are Liverpools bogie side in this fixture. Wouldn’t surprise me if we draw 1-1.

They should think that but the evidence indicates they don’t. West Ham got battered, Bournemouth lost, Spurs lost. What makes our players any different?

By making ten changes, Wilder is sending out a message that the game is not that important. You can dress it up any way you like it but if he was desperate to win it, he’d play the first team. That message is stronger than any words.

And most of those players know that if there are injuries, they’ll play and if there aren’t, they probably won’t, irrespective of how they played last night.

And that's the problem with football today, money has made it all about the prem and survival, or getting out of the championship, I feel sorry for the younger generation who mostly couldn't care less about the cups

Might sound sad to a lot today, but I really do miss them meaning something, growing up watching every one of the 92 clubs fielding their strongest sides

My new blades shirt I got to for my 50th has been to two matches so far, both lost. Its staying in the wardrobe on Saturday.
