Boganovic? John Egan? Jordan Slew? Jordan Chappell? John Cofie? Paul Gallagher? Dave McAllister? Febian Brandy? Ryan Hall? Joe Ironside? Jasper Johns? Simon Lappin? Sean McGinty? Aidan White? Stee Davies? Paddy McCarthy? James Wallace? Craig Alcock?
The stuff of nightmares. No wonder we've been down here for 6 years.

i think id have to find a centre mid role for ryan france

Not that it's an excuse but France was only ever on our books when we were in the Championship.

Balham's terrible XI

Howard

Westlake
Alcock
Collins (2014 vintage)
Williams

White
Hammond
Lappin

Ironside
Sammon
Forte

1. Conroy
2. Casey
3. Garner
4. Houston
5. MacPhail
6. Trusson
7. Matthews
8. Givens
9. Tibbott
10. Hatton
11. Ryan
Sub. Neville

The side that managed to snatch relegation from safety on the final day of 1980-1 and thus consign us to the fourth division for the first (and so far only) time in our history.

Simonsen

McMahon McCarthy Collins McEveley

Brandy Hammond Lappin Woolford

King Sammon

Left a few obvious ones out and gone for some I just had a genuine dislike for, Lyle Taylor and Marcus Williams both unlucky to miss out

I reckon Dave Kitson could do a job, maybe just a squad member in the worst XI.

Simonsen

Westlake McCarthy McEveley Williams

McGinn Hammond Lappin

Sammon Higdon Paynter

*Update*

McAllister in for McGinn. He was a complete nothing player. At least McGinn was of some description.

One thing that is apparent is that we're spoiled for choice in the striker department. Jesus Christ it's one long, horrific list.

I'd much sooner pick proven crappage over eager youngsters who may have been equally shite, but at least has the excuse of inexperience.

So....

Simmo (just a disaster)
McMahon (poison)
Williams (poor lad shouldn't have been put on the pitch, it was cruel)
Alcock (not the worst player by any means but his partnership with McEveley has to go down in history)
McEveley (as above)
Woolford (did he want to play?)
Hammond (he'd make an all-time worst XI)
Baxter (controversial, but I thought he was the poster boy for underachievement and unprofessionalism)
Robson (the most unfit player of all time until we found Hammond)
Higdon (a professional sportsman? In what world?)
Sammon (the square root of the sum of his parts)

A tricky one to answer this!

GK - Simmonsen
RB - Westlake
CB - Alcock
CB - McEveley
LB - Williams
RW - Brandy
CM - Lappin
CM - Hammond
LW - Woolford
FW - Higdon
FW - Sammon

It makes me a bit ill, looking at that XI.
Hard to argue with that, although I would point out that Alcock was OK at center back. It was his natural position that would get him in that 11 for me.

1. Conroy
2. Casey
3. Garner
4. Houston
5. MacPhail
6. Trusson
7. Matthews
8. Givens
9. Tibbott
10. Hatton
11. Ryan
Sub. Neville

The side that managed to snatch relegation from safety on the final day of 1980-1 and thus consign us to the fourth division for the first (and so far only) time in our history.
A lot of those were also in next season's championship winning side. And kept us back in the third the season after. So, shit players or shit manager?

It would be a lot quicker and easier to name the good ones.

So, it looks like we've finally served our time in League One, and we have suffered some dark days, bad players and worse managers - but what is the worse XI since being down here.

4-4-2

GK

RB
LB
CB
CB

LW - Martyn Woolford
RW
CM - Dean Hammond
CM

ST - Conor Sammon

Subs:

Manager: WEIR

Ive took the liberty of completing three absolute shoe-ins.

Lets start by discussing the keeper...Long? Simmonsen? Howard? Any keeper that isn't Moore?

Manager = Weir

Just for totally ignoring the travelling Blades fans after the 3-1 drubbing at Brentford, just walked off chatting to his Brentford buddies - the same ones no doubt who gave him a job as coach after we'd seen the light and sacked the cunt.

Here's an update on an old Bladesmad thread I did a while back, these are just the permanent ones (48 of them) and of course and only my opinion. 1-4 or N/A= failure, 5-6= mediocre, 7+ = success.

So roughly:

Failures: 21, or 44%
Mediocre: 21, or 44%
Success: 5, or 10%

What can we conclude? The recruitment has been dreadful, and the waste has been vast. But then we knew that already. Thank **** for Wilder....

He ignored all the travelling Blades as the side came out as well.

A useless, useless cunt with arrogance and contempt thrown in. Our worst manager of all time.

And after half time when they came out again.

It is no surprise that FM Blades' post shows that Coutts 2014-15 vintage is a strong challenger for a place. What a turnaround!

Agree. The arrogant dickhead was a scottish version of Martin fkin Peters. Both utter utter bell ends who should never have got within a mile of the Blads hotseat. Can't stand either of em, but if I had to choose I'd say Weir was worse by a whisker. Mainly because at least Peters was part of the England world cup winning side. Both were total garbage though and very arrogant.
